More Miller:
"I am relieved more than anything. Its is hard to feel overly happy or satisfied with the result because of the way in which we arrived at an agreement. I am still embarrassed that we players have such a poor relationship with our league as a whole. It is so poor that we wasted 34 games for each club and have alienated our fans and sponsors.
An apology doesn't really help right now but I would like to start somewhere with our fans, especially in Buffalo: I am sorry.
There won't be a lot of time for finding ourselves. Maybe that is a good thing for our team.... less time to think, more time to play."
It's official. 48 game season starts Jan 19th. No training camps until Saturday.
Maybe you should read the full quote.
Buffalo Sabres’ goaltender Ryan Miller said via email,
“Now that we have games on the schedule we just need some fans. I know an apology doesn’t make it all better, but it’s a place to start. I’m sorry and I hope that fans will forgive us for the role we played in this lockout. We will show up ready to play if they want to come to the rink and watch.”
They could send out tix tomorrow and are printed like playoff tix. Home Game 1, home game 2, for maybe the first 5 home games. Once schedule is done (already is) and tickets printed, send the rest.
1) BOG meeting on Tuesday should end it.
2) I don't see final-final one for 4 months. Should be a list of changes after BOG meeting. They don't want to share anything until after "next of kin" is notified.
