A thought for Adams to consider for a goalie fix and wanted to get all of your thoughts: Pyotr Kochetkov was signed to a 4 year deal for 2M AAV and looks stellar. Antti Raanta has 1 year left at 2M AAV and is 33. Frederick Andersen also has 1 year left at 4.5M AAV and is also 33. Something has to give here. Andersen is skating again and when he comes back, I can see them making a move. Should Adams pounce on this? Forgive me if this has been discussed before.

Mittelstadt, Olofsson and the 3rd and 4th Lines
Palm Trees And Taxes replied to nfreeman's topic in The Aud Club
Casey is a draft bust. Its time for the Sabres to accept this fact. And it is ok, plenty of good options waiting behind him. Also, package Olofsson and eat some money if you have to with other players to make an upgrade on D. -
Call me absolutely nuts but what if Buffalo reached out to Florida and say well take Bobrovsky where Florida eats 1/2 and the Sabres 3 way the deal and have a team eat even more of the contract and make Sergei the #1 for a few years while Levi develops? Or is that contract just too long to even consider even at 50%?

Every deal has a risk, still would love to see Tage duplicate the points again this year, but what if Tage scores 43G next year and he does not sign? Then you hear rumors he might get traded, or the price goes up to 8M AAV or even more. Both sides hit a good number. Plus with Adams working on changing he culture of this franchise from the inside out, this sends a positive message to the entire locker room. Players want to win and they want stability. This is an excellent step in that process. Can Tage duplicate his numbers going forward? With that size and shot, and it isn't like he had a 22 percent shooting % (15% last year) it is very reasonable to believe he can do this again and again. And now in Year #2 of being a full time center, Tage can grow his game and work on the other nuisances of the C position (example, improve on face-offs) Well done Adams!

Rochester Americans Have Addressed A Racist Incident
Palm Trees And Taxes replied to bob_sauve28's topic in The Aud Club
I agree that is scary these horrendous incidents like with this dentist still happen in 2022. It will happen in 2042, 2062 and 3012. It happens around the world at many levels and sadly, it will never be fully eradicated. Just hope and pray that it gets better on all levels so people can live more at peace day by day. What should NOT be happening in 2022 is this: Blaming just one side of the political aisle. If anyone hasn't figured out by now that BOTH sides are EQUALLY guilty in flaming many toxic things, then I really don't know what to tell you. -
OT: Vin Scully, Legendary MLB announcer, dies at 94.

Vin was such an amazing play by play guy. Like a maestro. I wish there was one time Vin called a NHL game just to hear what it would have been like. -
Sabres Sign UFA Goalie Eric Comrie 2 Years 1.8 Million AAV
Palm Trees And Taxes replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Have this good feeling about Comrie. Can see 50 starts and a solid record and helps stabilize this position for the Sabres -
Dahlin takes it to 60's point range and shows why he was taken #1 overall. Cozens I can see having a 23-30 stat line and breaking out. Cozens needs to be 2C and keep him there and let him flourish with better line mates.

Plenty of teams need to shed salary before season start

Ahhh I didn't realize that pick 7 was out of that deal I thought it was so that had me thinking 100 percent leverage. -

I truly believe Ottawa used the Sabres as leverage for Murray, I think they 100 percent knew that Murray would not accept and that got Chicago moving so Ottawa can get DeBrincat. -

I have to agree. I don't see salary dump moves coming via the Sabres way. This team had horrid attendance last year, I'm sure the order was to spend TO the floor and that is it. -
Sabres Officially Select #9, #16, and #28

Very true, its a dicey situation. Whatever the call is, just hope the Sabres really do their due diligence on the Russian players now -
Sabres Officially Select #9, #16, and #28
Palm Trees And Taxes replied to WildCard's topic in The Aud Club
This is a MASSIVE year for the Adams regime. To me its everything. If I am in the Sabres organization and when consdering the situation in Russia right now in terms of availability being a question mark, and in many ways, hard to handicap how it will unfold, I am passing on the Russian players for now. Adams needs to hit home runs in this draft, KA does not need to ground out into DP's. If KA drafts Russians and the worst happens, he will be unemployed sooner then later. -
Sabres Officially Select #9, #16, and #28
Palm Trees And Taxes replied to WildCard's topic in The Aud Club
From picks 11-50 we are going to see a few players taken 20+ picks higher than most think and some that slip way lower than anyone imagined. The draft is very deep. -
If Craig Anderson is a solid close to .500 goalie who starts 20-25 games and is an excellent presence in the locker room: This is $1.5M well spent. If GMKA thinks Anderson is a 50+ start goalie and want to pair him with a UPL who has never shown the ability to stay healthy, then it is a disaster. Rangers really need a lefty shot, I can feel an Olofsson deal where he goes to NY and the Sabres get Georgiev/Nemeth and sign Georgiev for a couple of years and he gets his chance to be a #1 and roll with Georgiev before Levi is ready

Not sure why Pronman has the Sabres taking Korchinski: Do the Sabres need to take another LHD Top 10 in the draft? We already have Dahlin and Power as left handed shots. I don't see this happening. -
I see virtually zero reason why the Sabres should trade for Kane. First he has a NMC, he can reject it with ease. Second, are we really a big asset away from serious contention? To give up a guy like Cozens? Not a chance. If Kane wants to come here, let him sign after next year where the Sabres would give up no assets.
