Sabres trade Jokiharju to Boston for a 4th round pick

That 3rd round pick in 2027 will be a huge asset for the 2031 Sabres as the playoff drought extends into a 22nd season -

For Mitts? -
I am lukewarm on this deal. But as we found out: When you are the worst organization in the sport, and you are searching for answers: Beggars cannot be choosers. Norris has flaws, but interesting upside too. Money almost matches up. Its a risk, but this organization is forced to take chances like this now, because they PUT themselves in this position in the first place.

What will be the Sabres approach at the trade deadline?

New GM, New Coach & Star Player
Palm Trees And Taxes replied to CallawaySabres's topic in The Aud Club
I sure hope you are right, but we are now talking like this: if you are 30 and under, do you have any good memories of the Sabres? And that is an issue, there is way less connection to the Sabres from the young generation and if Pegula just refuses to hire a top GM, put more $ into scouting, analytics, and FA, nothing will change. If you told me when Pegula had his introductory presser that it would be this bad almost 14 years later, I would have thought you were NUTS. But sadly, here we are. -
New GM, New Coach & Star Player

If things do not turn around soon, this team might become the Houston Sabres. I hate to even suggest this, but this could be a cold hard reality. -
I wish that too. I wish Terry Pegula was raging with anger about the results of this organization. And wouldn't accept it for anything. And realize that he can't take all his billions with him. That he can dip in for millions more and invest wisely and get this team to be a winner. WHATEVER it takes.

How do you honestly feel about this team
Palm Trees And Taxes replied to JP51's topic in The Aud Club
Been a die hard fan since 1982 and this is by far the lowest point. Completely unorganized, very uninspiring roster. Some players I do like but this is the worst organization in the sport and its not close sadly. Adams is unqualified to be a GM. Sabres need a voice, a voice that shows the passion and care that these fans want and deserve. I feel we get little or none of that. We need a heartbeat. And fast. -
GDT: Blue Jackets @ Sabres Feb 4, 2025 7:00PM

Crazy thing and frustrating part about this season is the Sabres were 11-9-2 after the California trip and right before the long losing streak, and now 10-7-2 since the 13 game losing streak ended. If the Sabres just held onto 3 leads during that horrendous losing streak, and earn 6 more points like they should have at minimum, this team is close to about where we thought they would be all along, around 55-57 points and 5 points out of the WC spot or so. -
What will be the Sabres approach at the trade deadline?
Palm Trees And Taxes replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Some thoughts: I would keep Clifton, McLeod, Kozak, and Zucker. Want to see more of Kozak the rest of the way to truly get an idea of what he can bring. Jokiharju: Move. 100 percent. Greenway: Either option is fine JJP: Probably keep, but open to move for right deal. Every other player (some are good to keep like Byrum and Levi) I am definitely open to moving, BUT for the right player back that can be a big producer for this team for 4-6 years (Like an Elias Petterson) I would move them in a second. -
Announced attendance 14000, real attendance: 6000 Ruin fans and 2000 Sabres fans

GdT Sabres in Vanc: Jan 21/25. Like 10 tn; you figure it out

Wait, the season isn't over yet? -
Don't know how realistic this would be: But i look at the Islanders who need an influx of young talent and the Sabres have an abundance of it. C Matthew Barzal has a 22 team no trade clause: 9.15M AAV the next 4 years, 27 years old, has been a PPG player multiple times. Would love to see the Sabres target a guy like Barzal and make him 1C, move Tage to W and I believe this can trickle down and make the Sabres better.

Quinn is finished. Of course until he is traded too soon
