I would bet most hockey fans don't even think about Bergeron. He's one of the best players in the game and he gets zero attention. I like that.

I envy the Bruins for what they've had with Bergeron, Marchand, Chara, Krejci, etc. You can hate these guys all you want but, minus Chara finally moving on, the Bruins have been the model of stability for a very impressive term.

If we're lucky we end up with a collection of players similar to what the Bruins have had for the last decade. No obvious number one star but just a bunch of good to really good hard working guys with a good leadership core that knows how to play a team game.

I like Tuch. He absolutely crushed us at the Sabrespace Posters game that first year Vegas was in the league. Very much a Donny Meatballs kinda player.

I'm really surprised there are no conditions in this trade regarding Eichel's health over the remaining length of the contract. Vegas must be really confident in his ability to recover from whichever surgery it is that he is going to get....

This is basically the only thing I'm really curious about at this point. The trade and the subsequent return is whatever. There's a whole other chapter to this saga that is only just beginning.

The way I look at it is that the team that put that win streak together was expected to have a pretty good season and it all ended up being a mirage. Some people are traumatized and figure there's no way things won't fall apart here. But... This current roster wasn't expected to win anything. Not expected to be competitive in any way. The fact that they are is almost beyond belief. Which in my opinion makes it all the more real. This team should not even be capable of putting themselves in the situation of falling apart; it should have started on day one.
