I suspect so. And knowing Joe, he doesn't peddle in conjecture. If he believes Eichel is getting traded then I believe him.

Colin Miller is also severely underrated by this fanbase. He's a much better defenseman than anyone gives him credit for. If this team is good this season he's going to play a big part in that.

I don't think the Sabres would have protected him if they weren't. I'm feeling pretty good about it given how the market has looked so far.
