  1. So, no Petterson?
  2. It works for me.
  3. This was one those Find the Shoehorn in the Haystack graphics for me.
  4. This is a great watch. My God, the memories. It ends curiously enough about where my fandom ended. Van's calls, like Rick's, were perfect. Tim Russert has the final word: the Bills are going to win a Super Bowl, if not in my lifetime, then in Luke's. (This doc also ends with a great chant I had never heard but works so well: B-U-F-F... ALO. Probably didn't capture the cadence but it needs to be adopted.)
  5. Again, what are we clinging to?
  6. I can't type what I want to.
  7. She was all lined up but came down with bronchitis. I am a bad person.
  8. *****in eh. Trade any or all of them. It hardly matters. Let's try this with a true 1C.
  9. I apologize all. I've been using my late wife Marlene's pill organizer, unwittingly, since last Sunday. She was a master planner and had her pills all set up for the next four years. It hasn't been the same since she departed. It also hasn't been the same since Björn went back to Sweděn.
  10. I decided to study the pic to see if I could recognize anyone. Not a soul. Should have gotten Christie. Maybe Shero. Really should have recognized Rick!
  11. That logo is everything. It's a nation's flag. I always think about the franchise as the country and the people occupying that franchise as the Congress, the president, the federal government. Those people come and go. There is always hope we can get it right. I'm just trying to survive the Pegula Era. We are one decision by Terry to cash in from having hope again. Fan has earned his immunity.
  12. Anyway let's nip this one in the butt... "The Sabres would have made the playoffs but for the losing streak." They are 8-7-1 since the streak ended. And their record before the streak was probably not playoff caliber, either. Hoppe's gonna Hop and Lysowski is gonna Lyso anyway.
  13. I'm not worried about what teams ahead of us in the standings do, not yet anyway.
  14. One game at a time. I'm focused only on the Caps on Saturday afternoon.
  15. It's a high bar. I could go on about all this, but won't (all right, settle down, I WILL clear this courtroom). Suffice to say I think there are fans who are taking the MetroRail direct to Fan Heaven, they are so loyal and loving and supportive and meak. But ain't none of them live round here. Meek? OK.
  16. It has been incredible because of the wins, but winning it all is not important to you. How do you draw the line? Is watching 0-16 also a gift?
  17. Nope. Astute hockey people know it means nothing.
  18. It was deleted for unknown reasons as per usual.
  19. I guess we have to let in all sports basically, not just the pros and not just the legacy Big 4. Could be an individual as well. My dad and I followed the Bonnies in 77 when they won the NIT. I didn't remember SBU's trip to the final 4 of the big tournament in 70 but had heard all about it. It was cool but had the feeling of a consolation prize. That's it. I loved the bad Mets of the mid to late 70s but left them behind and couldn't enjoy 86. Jack Nicklaus winning the Masters as an old man of 46 was thrilling. I wanted him to win but wasn't a fan per se. Still... YESSIR!
  20. At least it's semi plausible. Remember there's a GM in Vanc too who has to sell the deal to the fan base. Easy there, big fella. Too much!
  21. The NFL highlight video not surprisingly does not include any replays of that fourth down.
  22. It didn't call for an adjustment. It called for a game plan where McD anticipated that Reid would do x,y,z to stop what the Bills coach called their best play all season. That's a good game plan. It didn't call for an adjustment. It called for a game plan where McD anticipated that Reid would do x,y,z to stop what the Bills coach called their best play all season. That's a good game plan. I hate the double post. It's like hitting both posts in hockey.
  23. I want McD gone. Mark from Intern Relations.
  24. It's coaching by numbers, no? There's a card or something that tells you what to do.
  25. A coaching change would be the boldest of bold moves. Does Beane have it in him? Does Terry? They are wasting Allen.
