Sabres want to re-sign Girgensons according to Lance! Seriously? Why?

Probably a good choice TBH. A transition cap while Ruff takes a gander at things. -

That cheese sauce Taco Bell uses will have that effect. Surprised Forton wouldn't be a La Davina Taco man (thank you Google). -
How bout ***** packing, sonny? You are quite fluid. You nobly defend women. It seems everyone else is open season. I don't take Ls. If you surveyed every Sabre fan, 28.65% would know what CapFriendly is or was and only 62.14% of them would have visited the site. You are truly overestimating the number of fans who go to that length. I bet you think most fans comment on the team on social media/sites like this. I'd even venture that most fans of the team have spent virtually no time this week thinking about the team. It's been the offseason for weeks.

It's not nepotism. We've seen nepotism at the Sabres under TP. And Smell's robe just fluttered. Awake!

I just had a dream that the Sabres won the Stanley Cup

I see headlights flashing on tombstones. -
Dan isn't lacking in details. Rick never once uttered the phrases left point, near side or right wing half wall.

Hoo boy it's gonna be a long night for some Spacers.

Playing GM or even one layer lower, studying the salary structures of the teams, might be part of fandom. But it's so far removed from what a sports fan is it's asinine. The real issue I have of course is that Sabres fans have been reduced to this, the actual product having been so unconsumable. By doing this, you're not enjoying the sport. Sorry. You're enjoying how the sausage is made.

Good idea.

It almost seems like it's baked into the business model. When Cliff Benson and Terry looked across the street soon after Terry bought the team, what did they really envison? Harbor Center. Developmental hockey at various levels. Scouting combines. The draft. It's certainly a way of keeping costs down. I pondered something the other day. Maybe it could be its own thread. Is it crazy to think the worst owner in NHL history could go into the HHOF ... as a builder?

It's puzzling to me why the broadcasts have changed in that way. If you're into the game, you don't want to hear the banter. If you're new to the game or just tuning in for a minute, you really don't want to hear the banter. Who wants to hear it? I don't get it. Does anyone really listen to it, much less enjoy. And if you're trying to use the broadcast to sell the sport, what does it say to the listener that even the announcers aren't interested in what's happening on the ice?

Individual development over team development. The fans have bought into it. The young players love it. Learn to play with no pressure to win, then hopefully write your ticket out.

My beefs with Dan are chiefly: He can call a good game but only does so when it fits his mood apparently. Maybe the perfect guy for this group of Gen Z slackers. Worse, he gaslits. Big time. Almost comically. Maybe why Dudacek likes him. "Buffalo now down 5-1. And here they go again looking for another one to get right back in it!" See also: going from 3-0 down to 3-1 is not cutting a lead in half.
