Correct. It is offensive to many.

While technically journalism, the production of written and broadcast material covering the topic of NHL hockey is not really journalism. There aren't Woodwards and Bernsteins gum-shoeing their way in tunnels in arenas trying to get that critical third source. JHC, it's hockey.

I can think of only two other times the franchise has seemed to hang in the balance. In the first few seasons, the Perreaults and the Darlings and the Jeannerets and the Wielands had to seed the franchise with loyal fans. They pulled it off. In bankruptcy, the franchise had to just survive. OSP kept them alive. Now, a third critical moment. As a National Post writer speculated today, if Taylor Hall doesn't think he can win in Buffalo and walks next year, Jack could very well go with him. It's not hard to draw a line from that disaster to fan support falling off a cliff, and who knows where that could land. Or, if things break the right way, a Great Revival could be at hand, and the franchise could be righted and set up for more decades of viability. Maybe I'm being dramatic, but, ladies and gentlemen, either way, this is it! I just wish I knew when the season starts.

He still hasn't shown RaKru much if anything.

I have no hot take either way, but however the Hall situation turns out, it's going to be fun finding out. (Unless he's Leino Reincarnage, which I highly doubt.) There's nothing to not like about the Sabres adding a top offensive talent. Mainly there's hope, and we know what ole Andy D. (not Delmore) said about hope. (Meant to type Reincarnate above, but the typo is too good to fix.)

I missed Rex coaching the Sabres. The tenure must have been over in a flash. Was he instantly fired for sniffing the skates? Darcy wasn't a Pegula hire, just a retention, and it didn't last long, did it? The reason is obvious and has been postulated numerous times. I would never spam this board with repetitive content.

Should the Sabres Claim Tyler Johnson from Waivers?

Watching Europe descend into World War II was also interesting. -

It was an ill-executed Kovalchuk reference. -

The Buffalo Sabres do not need Tyler Johnson. -
If inexperienced hires were limited to Adams and Krueger, there might not be much to discuss. But there's a reason that the Pegulas have gone with Rolston-LaFontaine-Murray-Botterill-Housley-Krueger-Adams. Bylsma and Nolan are the outliers and maybe Patrick's brief stint. Why was it so brief? And were Ruff and Regier really fired or did they want out of what they could foresee happening under Jed Clampett and his better half?

If they're already at death's door though?

@Brawndo If a person is no longer contagious 10 days (or maybe 20, I've heard) after showing symptoms, why are visitations forbidden several weeks and sometimes even several months after someone has gotten sick? We've all heard the terrible stories of people having to die alone in hospital isolation. Or are you still contagious as long as you continue to show symptoms?

We won't soon forget where we were and what we were doing when we read the news today, oh boy.

The kid sure can skate. Nice parents and fine young *^%^$#@&* man. Thighs need more definition, especially the adductors.

The Sabres never fail to depress with stuff like this. Poor Duffer.

Only semi?

What role did Terry play in the pick? He was right there, and really working that pencil eraser.

Where did dad go?

Let's change the parameters and see if the idea holds up/remains perfectly acceptable for our society: "As world-renowned experts continue to be perplexed as to why Covid-19 is largely killing and disabling the young, whites and the wealthy, today hundreds of public health experts argued for a return to normal for the rest of the American population: people of color, the poor and the elderly have had enough. As Jean English of Maple Manor, an assisted living home in Wheeling, West Virginia, exclaimed, 'I just want to go back to Cracker Barrel with my girl friends! And I'm tired of sending my grandsons $10 every year anyway!" Well, does it hold up?

The commentary indeed is focused on, or at least touches on, government response (politics!) to the virus, and thus should be deleted/moved based on longstanding policy here.

And that's how you do it, son. That's a good, specific mission statement tailored to fit a younger subset of player.

Wow, that is some drivel. There aren't enough eye rolls/eggplant emojis/animated turd gifs for any pro athlete under the age of 27-ish. Poorly written, cliché-filled, useless rubbish. A friend of mine sent me that and I refused to believe it emanated from the Sabres front office. I should have known better.

What mistakes do you think they made? From my nearby perch, I've been impressed by the Catt Co. health department. You have everything a small county in PA doesn't seem to have — drive-up testing, transparent reporting, robust contact tracing etc. What blame should be assigned to the people for not listening to obvious advice? 303 cases and 9 deaths seems like a lot. And any idea how so many healthcare workers got infected so quickly?

10/6, to avoid any confusion.
