  1. Bad Dahlin, good Dahlin.
  2. ...
  3. It feels like an Arbys afternoon.
  4. The following strikes me as a quote that, although honest, could easily get one fired: “I’ll be really honest with everybody here that I’m trying to figure that (inability to score at even strength) out,” he (RaKru) said. “It’s no easy fix, but if we do get that momentum, we will be strong.” https://apnews.com/article/nhl-ralph-krueger-buffalo-archive-buffalo-sabres-1e2b5990708adc8eafa24bb66722938e
  5. RaKru to the Buffalo News: "One of my biggest takes out of that game yesterday was the fragile psychological state of the team right now..." And to old Pal of SabreSpace Wawrow: "They’re fragile right now. They don’t believe in themselves and they don’t see themselves celebrating.” Coach was talking about how they can't imagine themselves scoring, only missing the net, hitting posts etc. https://apnews.com/article/nhl-ralph-krueger-buffalo-archive-buffalo-sabres-1e2b5990708adc8eafa24bb66722938e It's interesting comments like this came up. It makes me think I'm only half-baked.
  6. I wasn't asking for Victor to reprise Risto's stick-twirling masterpiece then pay homage to Miro by miming making a phone call to his agent on an old-fashioned crank Tele Phone with the earpiece, followed by a monkey hump of the puck. My commentary was more about the overall team response, which was tepid, flaccid, outrageous.
  7. Speaking of little ditties.
  8. It was the definition of resignation. "OK, we lost 3-1. Whatever." Some of these guys are broken down hockey players at a pretty young age. And, for the record, although they had a few chances after making it 3-1, the goal hardly, in the words of Harry Neale, "went to their legs." Was anyone surprised? I guess my question back at you is whether you would have been bothered by a robust team celly? I'm sure many would have been offended somehow. I dunno, I just feel like we needed @SwampD out there to punch-celebrate everyone and scream, "***** YEAH, WE GOT THIS! RIGHT WHERE WE WANT 'EM, BOYS! 4-3 SABRES!" A girl can dream.
  9. No reaction from Olofsson. Half-hearted stick lifts by Eichel, Reinhart and Okposo. Then fist bumps with emotionless faces and milling around before the bench routine. There's eight and a half ***** minutes left in the third. It's now a two-goal game. That reaction is what you see (and want to see) in the final moments. My friends, this is so much worse than we think. Totally heartless, not to mention cruel to the fans who are clinging to this barnacled yacht of privilege.
  10. Watching part of the game again and he just tossed the puck away at center ice and wasn't seen again until he coasted into the picture in the high slot as the third goal was scored. It wasn't quite Ovechkin with a broken controller, but not far off. Staal, Olofsson and Thompson didn't cover themselves in glory, either, but Dahlin's effort was particularly woeful. I don't care if he had no chance to prevent the goal; act like you care. What's with these trailing guys going into spectator mode? It's not like the chance they are watching is always going to be a goal or a definitive save. There are these things in hockey called rebounds.
  11. What a tiresome agenda, clearly meant to tweak other posters. Agenda. Narrative. Rant. Troll-job. How do you get away with it? Seriously, do you have pics of nfreeman cavorting on his yacht?
  12. That leads nowhere, but maybe you're on the right path. If fans want to understandably pull for short-term pain for long-term gain, the hope has to be that one more bad season, in Pegula's anniversary year, finally drives him to do the right thing and save the team he (allegedly) loves by selling it. I doubt it happens. He might love it on some level, but he loves owning it more. I went back and watched his intro presser. He thanked Tom for saving "my hockey team." Did he mean "my team" the way we all would mean it? Or something else he owns? I have no doubt how he meant it. My team. My lake. My earth. My ocean to pollute in a vile yacht. His stewardship of precious things is suspect. The ego. The horror. Maybe the ego, on second thought, is the path to our mutual salvation. You're doing fine with the Bills. Cut your hockey losses. You'll leave with plenty of good will. Good God, man, save yourself — and us in the process.
  13. Sabres 1.2, Caps .95.
  14. This might help someone — I misread the link as The Athletic at first. But it's The Atlantic. No paywall.
  15. Does it have anything about poodles shittin' all ovah?
  16. More or less galling than the sabrepede?
  17. I rarely (if ever) lay this on my fellow fan, but — did you watch the game? I was hoping the whining about Skinner being stuck on the fourth line would start to fade out after the last two games. The last Skinner saw of Eichel was after he made a perfect pass to a wide-open Islander in the offensive zone. It might be the last he ever sees of him. Why is the coach at fault here?
  18. Linesman jumped the gun a bit. He made the call before Dahlin got to the dot. If he had waited another second it would have been obvious the puck was going to cross the end line.
  19. Is this the lowest point?
  20. This Parent kid is good.
  21. Fair weather fans aren't watching/thinking/posting about the team tonight.
  22. That Josh Allen though.
