  1. Hutton makes himself as small as possible.
  2. Not the ice level sound, but Rick, I mean.
  3. Audio just ahead of the video again.
  4. 16-17, #1 overall. 24th in GF/G.
  5. The reason I like Mike H. is that he's most likely to ask that very question (but hasn't as far as I know). The rest are so weak and timid and feeble. I don't know why they're there, honestly. Young, untrained, overally deferential — possibly looking to look for Terry some day. See Kilgore, Ed. (I guess I'd put Wawrow up there with Mike; John's no shrinking violet.)
  6. It is crazy. And not good. I am far too lazy to do any research, but I'd bet there's not as much correlation between power play success and ultimate playoff success as people might think. Power plays are fickle and can't be relied on. Also we all know what happens in the playoffs with the whistle.
  7. I prefer Dr. N. Kirishone Serves you right.
  8. He won my heart over when he pointed to a picture of Old Jack Eichel at the Anchor Bar in one of those Blue and Gold deals.
  9. RaKru dropped this in his pregame presser yesterday. He said the meetings are to make clear what expectations are. That seems like a lot. Are these guys having their heads filled with too much (fill in the blank)? I'm sure most of us can relate to how too many meetings in the workplace can be counter-productive.
  10. TSDV
  11. Krueger mentioned "attitude and work ethic" in his pregame comments. That would seem to answer the question.
  12. Is the answer simple enough that we have a mix of offensive players who need the time and space that a power play affords, but they can't function at even strength when the NHL game is tighter than %^&**'s &$$%^^?
  13. Weird theories? That Terry is involved in the Sabres' hockey ops? It's not exactly Roswell/Area 51 stuff. If the charge is being involved in the day to day operations (short of the charge of meddling), it's an open and shut case. Was it Kim or was it Botterill who revealed that Terry talked to the GM every day, up to three times a day? That's daily involvement. You have Terry watching game film. Terry sitting up top next to the assistant coach. Terry sitting at various tables and in various war rooms. Terry admitting that free agent signings were his idea. Darcy saying that Terry would decide the extent of the rebuild. Terry going to the GM side and Kim going to business side when they enter the building. This isn't a question. He's involved. Heavily.
  14. The Sabres have led the league in PP twice in their history. They've never finished above 30%. The high water mark is 27.4% in 74-75, which was good for third in the league.
  15. The buttoned-up, sphincter-squeezing corporate culture of these people. Killjoys. No... murderjoys.
  16. Correct. He was doing The Dunleavy. Then he claimed he knew Linus had made the save, while Rob still thought it was a goal. Bizarre.
  17. That sequence in the first period last night was unbelievable. Whose memory is good enough to rank such things, but it would have to be up there in team history. Sadly, Dan did not pay proper homage to it. "Hischier!" Silence.
  18. Good read. A little loose-goosey with the facts, but, hey, it's ArtVoice. https://artvoice.com/2021/02/25/buffalo-sabres-the-pegula-era-hits-ten-years-by-andrew-kulyk-and-peter-farrell/
  19. We don't have much 'round here. Please don't take our last little bit from our sippy cups.
