Dunleavy does The Dunleavy! -
Just for s&g, the players left from Disco Dan's first season (15-16) are: Jack, Sam, Rasmus R., Zemgus, Jake, LEEnoose.
-
And damned proud of it. It'll be the lead paragraph in my SS obit.

For those who missed it, Eichel was in a puck battle along the wall behind the Isles' net. Clutterbuck easily wedged Eichel off the puck and pinned him to the boards. Jack got into an awkward position where his head almost got stuck to the glass before finally popping up. He grabbed the back of his neck and skated to the bench. The ease with which Eichel was knocked off the puck might be evidence of his other injury (if it wasn't his neck all along). Jack's a strong boy.

I have devoted the last 10 years of my life doing exactly that.

Honestly, you've put more thought into this than anyone at the arena has. Did you see Kevyn's cliche-filled document, "What is a Sabre?" Quite a mission statement. Neck. Gotta wonder if it was the original injury behind the Isles net or the attempted spinal adjustment the maniacal trainer tried to do, forcing Jack to wince and turn around and ask, "WTF are you trying to do, kill me, you monstah?" (Paraphrase) -
YOU PIG. Wouldn't you say having experience in the industry you want to president is important? This reveals quite a bit. As far as I can recall, you are the only poster on this board to routinely objectify Kim. It's 2021. We don't do that. Is this over yet? I have to get down to the lodge for a mask-burning party. Some girls from the college are going to jump out of a coffin.

You've obviously given this more thought than I have! The son could sound like his dad for obvious reasons. He could also be a Southampton fan for obvious reasons. If Ralph wanted a fake account, I don't see why he'd involve his son.
-
What's so strange about it? Just the idea that someone is defending Ralph?
-
Well, she married him first. Then she rose through the ranks by pulling herself up by her bootstraps and struggling, year on year, to heroically break through that glass ceiling. And she had to be tough as nails to do it in a male-dominated industry.

A little ageism with your accusation of sexism? As for owner's wife, you JUST made the argument that at the time of Terry's purchase of the team, she was THE OWNER'S WIFE. Too easy. I have better things to do. Maybe count the toenails in my jar again.
-
Instead of assuming that the OP is sexist, might you consider that this thread exists because the team she (and her better half) own and run is historically atrocious? Switch Kim and Terry in this scenario and the thread still gets started.
-
The point is that owner's wife is exactly how she and Terry wanted to portray things on Day One. I guess I'm using a narrow definition of qualification. If I win the Powerball and buy a ski resort, I can decide to name my pothead nephew the manager of it. He's not qualified in any way. The snacks would be top-notch though.
-
Allow, sure. Entitled, sure. The issue is QUALIFICATION.
-
If you're offended, Terry gets some of the blame. Funny, I didn't see Kim making remarks on 2/22/2011. She was not referred to as the owner. Her task? Go redecorate the lockerroom.
-
No. Money qualifies you to own something. It doesn't qualify you to run or manage that something. She was not qualified to be a team president. There are so many people in this world who have worked their entire lives to get such a job. I imagine they kick a few telephone poles when someone like Kim cuts the line.
-
You don't listen to me. You never listen to me. Go make me a sandwich.
-
You missed the question. It wasn't what qualifies her to own a team. It's what qualifies her to be a team president.
