Who will thrive on a crummy team with a current losing culture and a recent history of failure with dimwit owners, an unqualified GM and an outside the box coach in a small Rust Belt city with three months of nice weather? Find those guys. I think Cozens might be one of them. In other words, why on earth did they think Staal and Hall would be good fits. Their performances were all too predictable.

Here, the GM is making the hockey call and Ted is assisting. The last quote is Ted as voice and face of the franchise. He was basically playing the role of press secretary — he had a regular slot on WGR IIRC. Jen Psaki is not POTUS.

Did Terry instruct Kevyn to sign Hall? I don't know; I suspect he did. But did his opinion and presence affect decision-making? 100% yes. People act differently when the boss is hanging around.
