  1. Wanting to go Biblical on this franchise, including the Pegulas, is hardly and overreaction. It's measured, logical and sane. If I can't say he did, you can't say he didn't. (I can guarantee he played some role in the trade.) He's not terrible, the Sabres are. The Bruins wanted him, what does that tell you? I guess we'll find out.
  2. FORCE FIELD ACTIVATED! RAYGUNS TO DEFCON FIVE!
  3. It's OK. RaKru will chuckle when he goes to Davos and votes to put chips in all your kids' heads. Short Arm Jeffy.
  4. So refreshing to see someone celebrate a goal. I'd fill this roster with guys who have a heartbeat.
  5. Buffalo goal assisted by Cyndi Lauper.
  6. They're playing our song!
  7. I wonder if the lockerroom has airport-style insurance for those Sabres who will be going to the front of the net?
  8. It's almost like there's no there there.
  9. Maybe be a professional and not rely on old wives tale noxious fumes.
  10. In Ottawa tradition, Philly plays a Sabres anthem. It never worked well for the Sens.
  11. Does one have to be a bearded ginger to play for the Flyers?
  12. If only one could have predicted such a thing during that interview after he became a Sabre.
  13. This isn't a good day. Montour wasn't the problem. We're not better. No problem has been solved. Not yet. Still waiting.
  14. If it was 1996, Rick would yodel his name after a goal. With Dan, we'll get, "Riikola drops one in... 10 second pause... Buffalo trails by two." Pass. He's a very good player. It's a case of study of what has been wrong with Terry's handling of this franchise.
  15. I always thought of it as his Taking the SAT and Getting to the Math Section look.
  16. Jack's not going to leave because Ralph WAS the head coach. That makes no sense.
  17. Yep, everything was fine before Ralph got here. His short stint set back the franchise five years. Say a lot of things about Ralph, but the statement is ludicrous — mainly because of how quickly other franchises turn things around and how easy it should be to get back and have "success" in a league where half the teams get in. Hell, just look at Granato's results so far. How is he possibly overcoming what Krueger wrought?
  18. No one's going to remember Ralph in five years and if the Sabres are still a trainwreck, there will be plenty of bigger villains.

  20. If he confirmed it, I don't see the need to credit the first person to have the story. When is that ever done? I don't see that tweet as Friedman's confirmation.
