I feel like all praise of current players should have a clear disclaimer: *In games that are objectively less meaningful than preseason games Honestly, you should get a warning point for the bolded. To suggest that those you disagree with are ignorant or are trolls/flamers (?) is wrong. Criticism of Reinhart is not so objectively heinous. Folks aren't saying Hasek sucked.

Who is/was a more talented player? Drury or Eichel?

Define talent. What hockey talent is most valuable? -
A goalie has to be in the top three, innit? Or maybe nottit?

I'm just suspicious that if you hear you're going to have x, y, z you will end up having x, y, z and maybe a q. FOMO isn't the fear of missing out of the side effects; it's the fear of missing out on telling people you had the side effects, and your side effects were worse than theirs. In the end, it might be as simple as wishful thinking. The worse the reaction, the better the vaccine worked.

Almost certainly not. (Spock's nephew SDS will tell us only 1/32 teams will win the Cup next season.) And to answer Thorny: Although we are fans, this is the place for Spock-like analysis. Our Top 3 isn't good enough. Not yet, anyway. And it's probably likely those can't be the top three moving forward into contender status.

They have data on the most common side effects. They're not common enough to support the anecdotal stories you hear about the almost unlimited array of reactions they had. I'm intrigued. Is it some combination of mind over matter and FOMO? (At my workplace, it was almost comical. "You threw up for three hours and your left calf was on fire? I threw up for FOUR hours and both calves were on fire!")

Did I say the b-word? Also, I agree with the bolded.

Because everyone knows deep down that after Jack, there are just some good prospects and a good NHL vet or two?

I am very much alive. I like a lot of things I'm seeing. But it's cotton candy before dinner. I'll be wearing adult diapers in the fall if trendlines are still good. (OTOH DM's record is not good. Funny .... no blame after losses.)

He's embarrassed he's padding his stats in garbage time?

I won't beat this drum too much, but can we at least wait until he's playing better this fall when the games count in the standings and there's pressure to get/stay in the playoff hunt and end a long playoff drought and there are 19,000 fans watching every move etc.?

That's ridiculous. My kid tries to inflict a head injury on another kid, he doesn't play for x games. Second offense, and so on. Third? He's done. I am the Department of Player Safety.

This schedule is near-inhumane. On us. Won't someone think of the help?
-
That's sad. Shame on the so called adults.

I can confirm that I am not "Deep Stromboli."
-
Not necessarily. Don't expect it.

The indication was that the team/franchise were being shaded. Where did "all things Buffalo" come from?
-
LBJ style! The issue is that Buffalo is top of mind for futility.
-
Weak, weak sauce. Of course Elvis would say something similar about the franchise itself, but he knows not do that. If he ever did, he'd immediately leave the building. Yep. Even is the smoking gun. I love this notion that the long losing streak is the only strike against this franchise.
-
But that doesn't argue for keeping him, innit?

I feel like the u's are getting short shrift here.

This must be what it's like to be on drugs.

Well, he lost a shutout with a few seconds left in a period. Sound familiar? This time it was the very end of the first period on a simple point shot. Also should sound familiar. He gave up three more by early in the third and got yanked.

It wasn't Millsie's night. It usually wasn't late in playoff series. Sometimes I think franchises get haunted by moments. Some events are so traumatic it signals a deep and lasting decline. Think Homerun Throwback for the Bills. Losing Game 6 at home after being in the lead might be the Sabres' equivalent.
