You have a certain worldview, admirable I think. But why is ageism still allowed to be part of it? I mean, he said those words. I won't forget. And, honestly, I won't remember a lot about Jack Eichel as a Buffalo Sabre.

I guess. Maybe. I can't get beyond the voice. I'd have to suspect he learned early to imitate his dad. Would he be where he is without the name? My bigger beef is that he's about 1.5 seconds behind on his goal calls. Even behind the crowd reaction. But he does end up calling the goal, unlike Dan, who goes all deer in the headlights. Right on. I'll look to see if ESPN takes another approach. They need to tailor the show to hardcore fans. I mean, that's whose watching, I think. Lots of casual viewers tune into NFL games. I can't imagine lots of Mr. and Mrs. Americans who don't follow hockey put an NHL game on for shits and giggles and nachos. Talking about how so and so is Craig Mactavish's godson and played the juice harp at Bemidji State doesn't sell hockey, because it tells the viewer the action isn't exciting or important enough to actually be describing.

And if Josh hadn't played well and the Bills hadn't started winning, would you have argued that he needed more talent around him and a better organization? I still say when you don't win, you look to your best player and in this case captain (among other places you look). No excuses for Jack. I don't think Jack is so unaware that he doesn't know that his comment about wanting to be a Bruin is a kick in the nuts to every fan, even the ladies. Really, it's unforgivable. Not sure it matters, because even his supporters had already gone from "we need to keep the guy" to trade proposals in record time. How can "wherever that is" the Bruins comment be interpreted any other way? He wants out. Or maybe you're saying when he caught wind of the Sabres shopping him last summer, he felt betrayed.

This seems odd. Like ignoring television, print, the telephone. It's just a communication technology. A phone can be used to let a family speak to a dying relative or to call in a bomb threat to a high school. Sabres news is out there on Twitter. Why would you ignore it because some people write Tweets you don't like?

Are you seriously never going to learn how to use Twitter?

Official Don Granato Named New Sabres Head Coach
PASabreFan replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
A bedraggled franchise, a physically battered coach who seemed destined to never get his shot, an organizational mantra of E to the 3 that OSP wished he had thought of, trading your franchise center AND his tandem bike partner... IT COULD WORK! -
Stop trying to bring the war in under budget. @New Scotland (NS)

I'm officially done with being nice here. I'm going back to what made PASabreFan so PA.

Pimlach got all...

It says Michael Russo.

So before he scans the ice before rimming the puck, he should scan the ice?

Is this the new Crosschecking. You, LTS and Zamboni should get lunch at Pearlclutchers. With that, you people don't deserve this thread.

Their fans were pathetic last night. No other way to put it. A little Gold Bond and two bandaids will fix that.

Deep down, you know I'll be right, as always.

Mike Wilson just had a nice season in Chicoutimi, taking the Chiclets to the Spangler Cup quarterfinals. Come on, Danny, do it. I know it'll be tough to dismiss your bud, but there's no way the Sabres should have finished 33rd overall.

And we thought THAT was a dry spell. I think what I was going for was — maybe — it had been the first time the Habs had been shut out in consecutive playoff games at home. "Around behind the net and Bobby O, Bobby Sauve has his second consecutive shutout!"

Does it make you wonder what they know that we don't? -

I like this. Bring them in and let them develop. The department will be humming and world-class in, oh, five to seven years. OK, look, I haven't said a bad word here or contributed anything except the snark above. I do want to humbly offer that his nickname needs to be Ken and not Ace. -
Crap. Advance one decade and a few years.

The Sabres in 83 were the first team to complete a series sweep in Montreal.

Eichel's Agent Says Team/Player Heading Toward "Resolution"
PASabreFan replied to Hoss's topic in The Aud Club
Sometimes it's not enough to have talent. Pierre was really good. So were a bunch of NYRs in the late 90s.
