My views of Terry are not black and white. People choose to forget things I've written in order to make my position cartoonish. For the record, I've said the ownership situation in Buffalo is damned-near perfect. They have a longstanding personal relationship with the team, they want to win and know what winning would mean to the fans, they seem to care, they're willing to spend, etc. But the indications remain that they consider the franchise to be a family plaything, from the hockey side to the business side to the frickin' hat side. It could all still work out, but IMNSHO, it won't until Terry makes a certain adjustment. (Of course "work out" is probably defined right now as merely returning the Buffalo Sabres to the NHL.)

I just ground out a Winston on my left thigh.

Is that not allowed here? Did you hear that Ralph sucked?

Expansion Draft -- Wed. July 21, 2021 (Release the Kraken)

I can't believe this day has finally come! -
A thought — what if a prospective new owner has said, "I'm not buying the franchise in its current sorry state. Cut the dead wood, remove the rotten core, cut costs, give me a blanker canvas." Or this is how the Pegs are staging the franchise to be sold. Which explains the smell of fresh baked cookies wafting around the arena.

They keep HIRING different people, sure. Have you wondered why it never works? Look deeper. Sorry to be cryptic — I am well aware people are tired of my same copied and pasted response.

He turned down tens of millions of dollars to sell to Pegula, and he put into the sales agreement a no-move clause. What more do you want to see? Meanwhile you assume a $300 million figure pulled out of someone's butt is accurate. OK.

How much has the asset appreciated?

Was thinking the Mr., but you still complete me.

OTOH, when the light is turned on, you can see the cockroaches.

There's a walking test for older people. How fast you can walk a certain distance is correlated to life expectancy. I wonder if the desire to change your number is correlated to a shorter NHL career? Is it good that a player thinks changing his number is going to somehow help?

Exactly right. Harsh but true. I saw a bumper sticker that said, "America: ***** Your Feelings." It goes both ways, innit?

I'm not a sophisticate when it comes to food or drink. I bought a can of imported Italian espresso ground coffee. I don't have an espresso machine and know nothing about pulling, pressing, bars of pressure or shots. I just put it in my cheap coffeemaker. It came out fine, to my taste buds anyway. Then I read ONE ounce of espresso has 64 grams of caffeine. I just had probably a 10-ounce cup of it. Am I going to die?

Satan should be raised to the rafters.

Thank for you allowing me to remember what I want. I also remember his Dahlin moment. You do you. But you'll have to explain how virtually everyone on this board couldn't wait to jump into the jack Eichel Trade proposal thread. (Sorry — trying to capture the asinine capitalization schemes here.)

Five things I need to see to validate the Sabres being fully in on analytics

I never want so much hatred in my heart. No thank you! -

Kelly Pegula designed a Sabres hat and ... wow. Just wow.
Stoner replied to Eleven's topic in The Aud Club
It encapsulates the Pegulas. They claimed to love the Sabres but have treated the franchise as their personal family playground, Terry as fantasy POHO, Kim as fantasy business guru, and the kids as fantasy merchandise designers. Total and utter disrespect for the Buffalo Sabres, the fans and the professionals they should be leaving alone to do their jobs. -
Great flick! I had it on a video tape. @fushetti "I don't believe a school bus on Sunday!"

He smack-talked some guys in a scrimmage. That actually happened. I didn't like it. Nothing more complicated than that. I don't love or hate Jack. I feel nothing about his impending trade except hope that we're better after the trade than before. Yours is the imagination with no bounds, apparently.

Yeah but "plenty" would raise an eyebrow if I heard it.

Sorry. Shoulda gone with, "Nonsense!"
