Wish this was Complaint Day. Got a day off after nine days in a row at work and it's raining and cold and I've been sitting here for four hours watching the plumber go in and out to his truck and back and forth to the hardware store.

I'm almost hesitant to post this in case DD has some things going on. I felt not scorn but pity for his call last night. This was a huge win and he wasn't present. Just a "he scores" and silence. Lots of empty spots of five seconds or more. Letting moments speak for themselves can be good, but the crowd noise wasn't there to make it work.

I didn't get to see much of the Bruins game, but from all accounts (eye test, others' eye test, fancy stats), they generated plenty of chances. Score a few more and they'd be sitting in the neighborhood of 10th in league scoring. I think five games, with a 3-1-1 record, is a bit early to shake up the roster.

Why would a team in a playoff spot do that?
