Who said I commend him for anything? It's not all coaching is my point. But I will commend Bill Peters. In his first three seasons as Canes coach, he singlehandedly got Jeff's production to double. Of course in his fourth season it dropped again (including a -27 after a -3 the year before). Probably why he got fired. And Jeff stayed to lead the franchise to elite status in the league.

You are not alone. Everyone has always loved Jeff.

OK. Ralph prevented Jeff from scoring goals. 54 points then 31 in more games the next season in Carolina. He's streaky. When he's hot it's easy to say I told you so.

Not sure. I meant you might never see that particular play called a PS. Though there was no one between the shooter and the goalie, there was a Sabre off to his left. And the pass to and control by the player originated in the o zone.

Not sure how it was received here (I could guess), but I appreciated the ref's penalty shot approach. Do it by the book. It would be a better game. That said, you might never see that called again.

Serious question. I know it's a hoot to see the guy who runs onto the field get hammered. But in the unlikely but plausible event of someone getting killed by a jacked up linebacker, wouldn't that be homicide? What defense would the player have? Fine print on a ticket? Also why isn't the player charged with assault? Thank you. I will listen and hang up.
