Guelli will save us. He will convince Terry that although major management/coaching changes won't likely change the short term trajectory of the franchise, they will rejuvenate the fan base. Those lingering shots of Appert energetically rallying the boys in crunch time are not without a purpose IMHO. We've seen them all year. Ruff upstairs, hopefully only to an advisor/POHO role, Appert to HC and a new GM. It's probably the best we can hope for.

Season ticket renewals went out. The team-player-media industrial complex is firing up. All have a vested interest in keeping the customers engaged. None of this means anything for the fall. History has taught us this.

Also Terry didn't grow up a Sabres fan. It's even very debatable he was a fan (or much of a fan) after he dropped his season tickets and moved his company to Pittsburgh.
