  1. It's not a new era. It's the same old hat, different size. There's still hope for a new era this year, but a couple of distinct things will have to happen to make it so.
  2. One of the things I'll remember about Ralph is how he admitted he had no idea how to fix the 5 on 5 problem. I hate those puzzles. Me dumb.
  3. I'll bite. What line? Do you complain when post after post, year after year, is pro-Pegula? @SwampD I apologize. I finally see the biased officiating.
  4. "We have to start to improve. Of course, it's a results business." —Kevyn Adams He said it all. He voiced it. Of course, once he voiced it and realized he voiced it, he had to add, "Of course..." We start with improvement! We develop young players. We build, slowly, toward dynasty. We evaluate. We (insert PSE corporate speak verb). The message from Adams, and tomorrow from Granato, should have been, "We start to win. Tomorrow. At all costs. That's how everyone will be evaluated every day. This is a winning business." Nothing changes until this changes. I mean, it's up there with the Pegulas sailing back to Boca.
  5. I don't care about other owners. I've always said if other owners are behaving like Terry, we could have a huge strategic advantage if our owners were different. You continue to twist, distort, shuck and jive. And — I will continue to post my anti-Pegula comments until these lovely, smart, successful people either sell the team or get it right. Ad nauseum is their punishment for nauseating me and almost everyone else. Except for one "owner-sniffer" who shall remain nameless.
  6. After Terry fell in love with RaKru, I'm sure Botterill felt no pressure to hire the man.
  7. Don't tease me like that you little devil.
  8. I feel like 10 minutes into these things, the speaker could say he has a live Sasquatch caged up in the basement of the arena and I wouldn't hear it.
  9. I'm not even comfortable with that. You're the only one who's on a crusade. Are you mad you weren't smart enough to put the pieces together on Day One?
  10. It was just a one-off comment by a poster or posters. There's not even smoke here. It was a thought. You're fine, but apparently for nfreeman, even the thought is fodder to distort and twist and try to embarrass.
  11. Terrible news. Re: the first, Adams is clearly making this hire. So, no new GM and almost certainly no POHO. Maybe there's still a glimmer of hope the Pegulas will change their stripes. And maybe someone is brought in to oversee things... but that person would have to be comfortable inheriting a GM and coach. No scores and 10 years ago...
  12. Reading is Fundamental. But, by all means, spin this as PAFan speculating that the league is pressuring the Pegulas to sell.
  13. All I want to know is whether Adams is going be making the new hire, and, if so, will he get to do it unfettered. We might hear something re: the first part.
  14. You must have missed the discussion yesterday. "Get involved" was presented as the league pressuring the Pegulas to sell if an important franchise (and thus market) keeps falling apart.
  15. Some have been suggesting that if the Buffalo franchise continues to be a dumpster fire, the NHL could get involved. Are the Sabres that important? I don't know. But there could be a practical limit on how many kicks at the can the Pegulas get. As Dan Rather used to say, underline/bold/italicize that word.
  16. I would have nothing to offer (except maybe that hiring from the college ranks is dumb). I'm not a board know it all. (I do think I'm right about the Pegulas, though.)
  17. But, obviously, they're going to need time for the stench of RaKru to wear off. Let's see how things look next, oh, Thanksgiving before doing anything rash.
  18. Are you saying if Adams is still the GM, he will need the Pegulas' help? I think that thinking of the GM/POHO as a generic figure works for this poll.
  19. You got it. If it's Leaman it's a clear Terry hire. He's all about amateur hockey development in the U.S. Unfortunately, he's brought the a-word the our beloved NHL franchise. If hired, it cements our status as a non-NHL entity. We're not in the ***** league anymore!
  20. I feel like the Indian (sorry, not sure of PC term) in the 1970s pollution PSA.
  21. Leaking the college coach's name was brilliant. Look at the sheeple.
  22. That's not step 2, unless you are comfortable with Kevyn, Terry, Kim and Sydney hiring the next coach.
  23. Wrong. He's not more experienced than Ralph. Terry coached youth hockey in Olean, too.
  24. I feel bad for you if you think Ralph was the problem or this firing fixes anything. There should be no joy. It's like taking drugs, or so I hear. Eventually you need more. And that more? I'm waiting. Not Dahlin, for sure. Or Skinner. Poor guys just couldn't perform with the current coaching staff. All that should change now.
