  1. What if the plan is a scam? And it works with this fan base for some reason. 2. and 3. seem to be in opposition. I don't really agree with 3. Kim was running the business side and Terry was heading to the GM office to meddle. Kim confirmed the dichotomy. Now maybe Kim got involved in pucks, too, if the GMTM departure story is true.
  2. I had to listen to him on the radio yesterday. I noticed something when I really paid attention. It's a statement and a pause... a statement and a pause... and so on. There's no flow to his call. And he doesn't modulate his voice much. It just doesn't sound like a hockey game. A puck rolled past an empty Vancouver net and he said something and quit... the crowd was going nuts. Dan was quiet for a good 10 seconds. Punch is gettin upset!
  3. NASA is an acronym. NYKTROTS an initialism.
  4. They are status quo. 12 points in the second 10 games was really good for this team the last two seasons. But so far in the third segment they are back to baseline. Three three game winning streaks and working on their third three game losing streak right now. They are the definition of meh. Again.
  5. No it doesn't. The linesman has to predict that it will. The league wanted to take away two guys chasing the puck that close to the end boards.
  6. Telly Savalas. Follow along.
  7. Finally saw it. I had it all mixed up. It was a bad call but not an easy one to make. The linesman has to make the call when the first player reaches the dot. It was essentially a tie in the race to the dot with Cozens maybe by a nose. Tie to the defender? But Cozens clearly was gaining ground as proven by his reaching the puck first. The other part of the call once the first player reaches the dot is whether the puck will cross the line. I think the linesman was fooled by the direction of the puck. Bad call yes but not because the linesman failed to see Cozens touching the puck. The call had already been made.
  8. You said Quinn touched the puck above the end line so maybe the linesman deemed that the puck was not going to cross the line.
  9. I haven't seen the play, but hybrid icing must be a nightmare at times for the linesmen.
  10. I don't know if I want a dino nugget or a lollipop. @Doohicksie
  11. Always apologizing for this team, GM and owner. Always. You just might be Mr. Only One Team Wins the Cup Pegula.
  12. Like you've never yanked a pen from its moorings. You have two and a half cents of the first nickel you ever made!
  13. inkman is trampling, bruh. I love it. Trampling... see what I did there?
  14. The great philosopher (and possibly great wrestler) @SDSonce opined that in the NHL fans treat each game discretely as a single season. I think it will be that way until the end of time (Feb. 2025).
  15. By playing well enough do you mean having a decent record? I am guessing that's what you're saying. Yes it's a little early to fret over one game vis a vis making the playoffs. They are not in a terrible spot, nor a good one. 23 points in 22 games is not enough.
  16. Mother Nature has privately told Her advisors he will not.
  17. That's it, Doc! Over the hill went the swords of two...oo...oo men!
  18. Maybe the goalie made it look easy, but it seemed more quantity than quality. He didn't shut out a losing mentality among many fans tho. Gotta score there, Ras. Overall a wasted opportunity to get the average fan behind you. This team has no room for moral victories.
  19. Sabres vs. Wild? Hot take: first game back has no statistical bearing and should not be used as an excuse for... ya know. I'll give it to ya for free, Caveman.
