So yes Kevyn said he and Lindy talked about the staff and Lindy was adamant he wanted to get to know them. Not good, Lindy.

They seriously and objectively broke down where things fell apart. No smoke blowing and no silliness except for a brief chat about their little xmas tree.

Gotta sneak em in uninflated. Given the average age of this board I wonder who has the pulmonary function to blow them up? I think @GoPre is a runner.

You were the pro's pro after this one. You struck a serious, somber tone. Sometimes your job is reflecting the suffering of the fans or at least respecting it, and you did so. The fact he did makes me wonder what's really brewing behind the scenes.

There's the opening for a fan revolt. The visual would be irrresistible to the national media. Not one outside but thousands inside. I have to listen to Adams' comments again addressing the coaching. I thought he hinted that Lindy agreed to the staff as a kind of tryout.

As a matter of principle I also don't think you let the other team stand around for 15 seconds to kill the clock. Skate. Make a play.

People love those staged fights after a big hit. The Sabre was dumb to go. The big hit had temporarily tilted the ice and crowd mood in favor of Buffalo. The fight literally snuffed out the rally. It never returned. Smart play by Yutes.

As for the game, good challenge by Lindy. I had some McDermott snark lined up. I'm not sure these calls should be so perplexing. When the goalie is in his crease, no contact, even incidental, is allowed.

One question. Where is Can ee da? The girls held their own, but I think that's a lot to ask of kids that age. It was hard on the ears and doesn't exactly look like a major professional sport.

How bout our moribose PA guy? Someone tells him occasionally to juice it up and he just can't pull it off. His real job is on air on the NPR station. Kinda says it all. Also Sabretooth should be put down.

Here's what worries me. KA even agreeing to have this presser. It shows how much security he feels he has. Then his demeanor. Sarcastic and bordering on defiant. He laid it out. He was James Caan shoving a bunch of burning paper down that evil nurse's throat. Eat it! How about frankness we have rarely heard. The destination comment was quite frank. This is it, folks. Kevyn Adams ain't goin' nowhere. Pardon my French. And don't think Terry doesn't have the same disdain for the media and the fans. This is a rolling disaster.

Pandemic followed by depression and war. We've just done it backwards. Somehow that America produced collective spirit and sacrifice and the greatest generation. It was rewarded with peacetime prosperity. In 2024 we got what we deserved I suppose.

You got it. The players not only suffer from KA's fecklessness (you can't tell me the kids don't hate the youth excuse as much as we do; they are pros now, they want to win... this is the NHL!), it drains down and infects them. Any player listening today heard excuse after excuse for why KA can't build even a 16th best roster. Destination, salary cap, taxes, palm trees, non linear development, youth, even a hint at the end that the refs screwed us. Why should the players think any differently? Intriguing question. Woulda been a great question for KA. You are taking forever just to get a team into the playoffs. How much rope will you need to win one two three four series? What gives you confidence in yourself to win the US Open after taking x years just to get to a qualifying round somewhere?
