Hello my names R_dudly I have been drinking in Sabres hackey(Freudian slip maybe so I left it) for 40 plus years. I am recovering from lack of Sabres meaningful hockey. I can't remember the last time I could make it through a complete game w/o drinking. I believe in a power HIGHER than TPEGS somewhere up there in the big pond in the sky and I know with the help of all of you here at SabreSpace, and my lucky rabbits foot(yeah not so much for the rabbit, but they can still run pretty fast with 3 away from predators right? anyway) that I will see real Hockey played by the Sabres again someday maybe soon. I voted wait 12 months because either my liver quits or I do if i have to keep watching this years type of hockey.

Well that is a new one for starting a GDT and it was nicely done. Can only go up from the bottom unless you repeat which I cannot fathom happening. Changes will be made and welcome. I want to see how we stack up against one of the top teams fighting for the top spot. Truth be told I would rather Tampa gets the 1st seed than Boston but we will see if they are looking past Bflo or tuning up for the Playoffs. Lets Go Buffalo.

Hmmm, Half empty or half Full ? OK, well once your at the very bottom the only way to go is up right ? Dare I say unless you repeat. I choose to not fathom a repeat so i'm going half full and will say I expect a large turnover of the current team. Given this years result I really like the idea of going the Av's route and bringing in as many talented kids as you can get and then lets coach them up to play the fast paced game. I also agree with whomever suggested some coaching changes, First a special teams coach or a different one(if we had one). Also with how bad the defense played that I saw game in and game out I'm not letting Chris Hajt the defense coach off the hook. I liked his dad Bill (rubber stick Hajt we used to call him) but at least he was solid defensively. I know we had a collection of poor mans skilled defense men but the defense and forwards were rarely in sync. He has limited experience as a coach, 3 years with Kings AHL affiliate and when you have young team and a first time Head coach I think we need an experienced assistant coaches to make up for the overall deficit of experience behind the bench.

Hello Millbank, Yeah I would definitely take him at that salary and production. Sure looks like his turnaround could be credited to another one of my all time favorite tough to play against agitators, Dale Hunter. Obviously takes one to know one. If he coaches like he played it's no surprise the farm team keeps providing good hard nosed rookie hockey players to the big club. I look forward to the Eichel vs. Matthews match up for years to come. I like how Jack gets up for these games and I think its more than just the border rivalry and proximity of Toronto. Jack and Austin have crossed paths in USA hockey and even played together. They are also 2 of the highest rated US born players to come out in the last few years. If your competitive like they are you always want to do well against your buddy whenever you play against them. Pride and bragging rights definitely play into it when you put two friendly competitors together. So Lets Jack'em tonight Sabres, we may not be going to playoffs but we can win the season series and within your division and in off season meetups that still something to hang your hat on.

Just switched over to the Pens game to see them beat NJ in OT, of course Sidney Crosby, bats it in after first hitting first off the post. Opening day of Base Ball indeed. Real hockey

Well anyway it was good to see some of the future with Casey. This team is maddening because it can go from looking competent to totally inept in one shift. These guys have nothing to lose they should be playing to have fun trying to score not offensive like they look.

Yeah I would rather see Antipin as some others have also said. If they are trying to play the fast paced game they said earlier he is better suited to that style than Bahloo with less stupdity

yeah not sure what happened to the Risto we used have last year but this aint it. I think this whole teams passing and shooting is pretty horrible.

Well that was an entertaining period of hockey even with the regular faux pas we have been accustomed to seeing with this team. Phil even tried to sneak Jack on the ice with Casey. I can look forward to seeing some of these kids grow together.

So we finally have our Three Horsemen. First there was Samson taking on these Philistine teams, but then he cut his hair. Second we got the Jack, until he jacks up his ankle. Now the Third, the mighty Casey is with us, may he NOT strike out. Must see TV for me. I am curious what those 3 would look like as a top line playing together... Please Phil can you give us a little look at that somewhere in these last 6 games.

Yes Jack u Toronto... Good game well played against a Playoff team. Last game against TO should be interesting..

This has been a physical game for Buffalo. i know they can't play them all like this but its nice to see them play a rival like this..
