Its called practice. Watching the NHL network after work i hear their commentary's butch goring was talking about the teams that are good all practice hard like they play the game the coaches demand the practices are played liek a game. They rarely give the players off and if you dog it practice is longer than you would want.. This team is soft mentally and physically and it looks like Phil doesn't have clue. Here comes 3 shifting the top line till that fails.

Every other good PP hockey team I watch cycles the puck to open man quickly tape to tape before the checker gets there and only use the boards when its an open pass to another. Maintaining possession and moving around not just standing in the exact same place..

Previous Penguins coach used to do this had Malkin and Crosby on same line, that coach Blysma isn't there anymore oh and Pens don't do that anymore either

yeah next logical question for me is that players that are not teach-able or coaches not being able to teach.

Yes I agree Sam makes that second line more dangerous and we don't lose much off the first line. \ He's juggled every other line out there other than the top line

So we got our share of bounces and puck luck during our 10 game streak now we have to work hard for every chance we get and they can't expect to make the fancy plays or get the bounces until we work enough for the law of averages to come back in our favor.... They call that make your own luck by working hard.

And we let LA drive the net with 10 secs left just backing up instead of forcing the play before they get our zone... That has to stop against a slower team like LA

yeah I don't know who is responsible for this horrible PP but they need to be fired. You should never just dump pucks around the boards and not maintain possession. And as I type this Zemgus makes his presence known... Yes he should not sit

Another thing that has been lacking for awhile now is the physical part of the game, lots of stick checks but not many body checks.

Good time to see how this Sabre's team reacts to their Sunday team meeting. LA looked slow and sloppy yesterday in Detroit although Detroit has been playing some very solid hockey and since Thanksgiving has a strong run of winning hockey going. If this team is a serious contender for Playoffs this is a must win. Inferior team on a 2nd of back to backs. Scary part this is the exact scenario the old Sabre's teams regularly choked on past several seasons.LA is still a dangerous team and I hope not one we take lightly.
