Survived the 1st period on the road when home team comes out hard to set the tone and still had your own chances. Good road 1st period. Just keep it up for 2 more and were good.

Well we can chose between bad decision making or a they got to learn sometime and can't let them be afraid to make mistakes. Heck my best lessons came from learning from my mistakes... I vote for letting the kids get tested to see where they are and a coach trying to push his players to get better.

Welcome, Love the pic. IMHO, Best GM they have had to date especially for an expansion club at the time. He was in Hockey Central Toronto like it still is today and loved sticking his nose to the Hockey establishment taking an expansion team to the top of the league and SC finals in first first 4-5 years.

I like everything better about the Sabres match up being the better team except coming off a tough physical road game less than 24 hours before. I like our number 1 line vs. Bostons and playing a defense first road game. Injuries really starting to pile up on the back end and Boston still plays with a little nasty or will at least try to be physical. Looking for strong goal tending and a steady road game strategy to win in Boston today. I am interested to see how The Sabres stand up to the task. Let's Go Buff-a-lo!!

Well lets see how our favorite team stacks up against the SC winner. Caps play a fast physical game and we get Boston in less than 24 hours who also play a fast heavy game. 16 back to backs second most in the league behind only the 17 played by Canes and panthers. I don't like NHL schedule makers... Anyway my concern is staying healthy in these two back to back games. Play smart play hard and watch out for the dirty plays. Didn't see who is in goal , my guess Hutton gets today Linus tomorrow. Hope to see Scandella back today or tomorroww or Hunwick anything but Tenneyson Please. Watched the whole game and that was a solid game by the Sabs against a scrappy Arizona team. Still a few too many brain farts in their own zone where a better team and a lesser goalie would spell trouble but very happy with the result. Still need to get Tennyson off this team I saw way too many defensive lapses that will cost them against the better teams and they can't always shelter his minutes if anybody gets injured. Scandella and McCabe can't get back soon enough for me. Also defensive scoring is way down since those two aren't on the ice. Couple days off and we get to do this again against the SC champs. Excited to see how we stack up against the best.

yeah he's actually been doing that for last several games. Might as well since he seems to have lost his hands and touch with the puck.

Yeah I noticed that before in some other games. I think the fact interference away from the puck is allowed again has led to this.

Hard not to follow suit and be another Captain obvious here and say 3 with Skinner, Eichel and Reinhart but I am also going off the script and coming in with 3 more that get close in the 15-20 range and that is Sheary, Okposo and our new PP weapon, net front presence, try and move me if you can, RSquared, Rasmus Risto.. Topic derail-er warning,,,,,, proceed at you own risk Since the PP has so much suckatude lately why not put Risto where he plays most of the time with no fear of getting hit with pucks in front of the opposing net. We now have some decent other point options in Dahlin, Pilut and McCabe when he gets Healthy. Come on Phil get creative.
