  1. You can go old-school too, Buffalo Public Library! https://bepl.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/default/search/detailnonmodal/ent:$002f$002fSD_ILS$002f0$002fSD_ILS:1990730/one
  2. I voted "good enough", which isn't necessarily the same as "good". He's adequate on the team that is scoring a bunch of goals. I want the Sabres to be that team. I don't think he's better than average for NHL starters though. I don't think he's a $4M player though, seems like there are better bargains out there for average.
  3. But you can use 3D objects in PowerPoint now!
  4. I may reinstate Netflix in part to watch Bruce Campbell.
  5. Here, at 5:00 or so. Indecision. I think Lehner loses track of the puck a little more than he should. It's not uncommon that he's looking around for the puck with no idea where it went.
  6. I saw some in Chaing Mai while walking around the night market. They're pretty impressive. Didn't go to a show though.
  7. On paper, Buffalo shouldn't really be on the list. If you're not following the team obsessively and hopelessly negative, the Sabres have 2 solid centers (Eichel and O'Reilly), with Reinhart (and Mittelstadt, if you're paying attention) as up and coming centers, so getting in on another expensive center seems like a bad decision given the team needs of D and wings.
  8. I keep coming back to mediocre. I want to be wrong, but for every good save he makes, there's one that it seems like he could have had. For instance, the second goal last night in St Louis (the one where the Blue snuck it in between Lehner's left and the post), it looked like he started to try to make a glove save before belatedly sealing off the post. I think if he moves to cover the post immediately that puck doesn't go in. In Chicago, it's the OT goal where Risto shouldn't be screening him, but he should have the bottom of the net covered (I think that one slipped in 5-hole). Maybe those can be coached out, but it's a bunch of little things that make me wonder.
  9. Nor will there be, I assume. If he says he wants to go, he's persona non grata around Buffalo. If he says he wants to stay and J-Bot trades him, Kane is essentially throwing J-Bot under a bus with local fans. Obviously, fans shouldn't be the primary concern, but there's no positive for Kane to say anything other than, "I love Buffalo and value playing here."
  10. More like Chilean Groupie, amirite?
  11. Geographically, you're right. Culturally, however, "the Island" doesn't include Queens and Brooklyn.
  12. Just smoke or salt the meat, jeez!
  13. Hang on, you were a burlesque dancer? :) In any case, haven't been to a club in a long time, last was in Houston on business travel. I briefly dated a former dancer, and it was kinda weird. She had all kinds of body image issues despite being beautiful from having a job that was entirely based on looks.
  14. Bread freezes well. Slice, freeze, and pull it out 15-20 minutes before you need it.
  15. "The team is staying in Carolina." I'm sure Bettman (or whomever it was at the time) said the same thing to Hartford fans in 1994. :)
  16. Uber does? Cool. I figured it had to be something like that.
  17. Tarantino; everyone dies in the middle covered in space blood, and they are back in the next scene.
  18. What are the insurance implications? I know when you sign up for auto insurance, they make a big deal out of not using the car for business and explicitly for it not being a car for hire.
  19. He needs to hit the net more.
  20. No kidding. My company "party" is free lunch in the on-site abandoned cafeteria (on my own time, of course).
  21. Love to see prospects joining in the fun. Welcome oregelbundet oregelbunden! Also loving "blockerin'"!
  22. I somehow missed the existing one, and deleted the one I started; I just want to make that clear before the rumors of Pegula put pressure on the mods to eliminate any GDT competition. ;)
  23. Today’s American cheese is, by law, required to be manufactured from at least two types of cheese. Because its manufacturing process differs from "unprocessed"/raw/natural cheeses, American cheese can not be legally sold under the name (authentic) "cheese" in the US. Instead, federal (and even some state) laws mandate that it be labeled as "processed cheese" if simply made from combining more than one cheese,[2] or "cheese food" if dairy ingredients such as cream, milk, skim milk, buttermilk, cheese whey, or albumin from cheese whey are added. (Wikipedia)
  24. FIxed!
  25. This is part of the reason I don't really watch football any more. It's not enough to be an effective player, you have to try to hurt opponents.
