Well you see, Lanny...

Looked at the score, still turned the game on. What's wrong with me?

Well, the other teams' goal against the Sabres count...

Whose idea was the tank and whose decision was it?
MattPie replied to Stoner's topic in The Aud Club
While possible, very few players hold out on their drafting teams. It's not productive for the player to be seen as a malcontent. While we're figuring out who, let's talk about the holding accountable. How are we going to do that? And it's not just the rich, I'm perfectly capable of buying a car or a house and making some really bad choices with them. -
That's good point. At the same time, it's not unlike if the goalie has the puck in his glove and then puts it into the net. Maybe the lesson is, if you don't know where the puck is, don't put anything into the net just in case.

Eichel's 2-way game is worlds better than it was when he was a rookie, all while maintaining his scoring pace, which is near the top of the NHL, per-game. I wasn't old enough to watch Perreault with a critical eye, but was he some sort of 2-way demon on the ice, or a guy that could skate through the entire team and score on a guy with the equivalent of a couple phone books on his legs? Leadership: Wasn't one of Perreault's knocks that he wasn't a leader? He was the Captain from 1981-1986 after being the league for 11 years before that. I'm not bagging on Gil, but I think people are looking back wearing a pretty serious 1970s-style pair of rose-colored glasses here. It must be nice to have more relentlessly-negative voices around here. :)

I had to go look since I haven't skied there in 25 years, and yeah, Dream would be a great trail for it. We used to spend a ton of time on that trail goofing off since it was such an easy run.

Telling your kid that we can't sled any more and it's time to go in when all you want to do is sled some more (with or without her; I love sledding).

No kidding, those Boomers complain about every damn thing and everyone. "His pants are too baggy!" "I'm offended when someone protests!" "Those brown people were speaking another language!" Snowflakes is good word for them.

It would make sense that for big crowds, they brought in "help" from Delaware North or whatever from across the pedestrian bridge.

Answer: pick someone at 12 or later Answer: Other not listed - The Bills pick the wrong QB, name doesn't matter.

This seems needlessly graphic.

I'll have to read it out of curiosity to see how they came at that number. If they say, "Uber driver works for 8 hours and nets this much", I feel like that's different if there are 4 hours of downtime that could be spent reading Chaucer or educational books or something.

On much better teams. :)

I love the use of stock photography here. https://numato.com/docs/8-channel-usb-gpio-module-with-analog-inputs/ "Hmm, this USB interface is very interesting. I bet I can glance left without her noticing."

"Well you see, Gord, the big round ball is kinda like a puck, eh, but they try to throw it not with a stick, but with their hands through that tiny net. But there's no one between the pipes to stop it!" "But Lanny, I don't see a penalty box!" "Well, when someone is a hoser, the other player gets two penalty shots, but they only count half. Bloody weird, eh?"

The day Subaru stops making a wagon is the day their corporate overlords at Toyota have won. That being said, the Outback has gotten pretty tall; the roof is probably taller than my old Cherokee.

That's actually a real thing; I didn't realize it until somehow my wife got one in junk mail a few months ago. https://www.jpeterman.com

And Kansas City liked Todd Blackledge more than Jim Kelly or Dan Marino. No one is saying not to move up, but if you do you're risking even more potential assets doing it. You better be sure (and I don't think anyone really is with these guys) you're getting Elway, Kelly, or Marino and not Blackledge, Euson, or O'Brian.

I think we're all in agreement here; don't mind this last deal, but at this point it seems like the QBs are all 50/50 shots (pulling that out of the air, unlike Zay Jones; hey-oooo) so it'd be questionable to make a bigger play at one guy when the risk of failure is significant. Take the best available at 12 (or move up trading some player you may get rid of anyway, or MAYBE use the Tyrod pick to move up a little more), but don't sell the farm on any of these guys. EDIT: I fully expect at least one of the top-6 QBs in this draft to be very good, I just don't think anyone reasonably can predict who with the trade-offs each bring to the table.

So far, unless I missed stuff, they didn't give up a pick in this yet. They've improved their position at the price of losing an existing asset. That's not quite the same as combining picks to move up, where you end up with fewer asset(s) in the end. As a mostly disintrested observer, this seems like a good deal if they weren't happy with Glenn. Combining picks may tougher to swallow as the team needs a bunch of players AND (from what I read here) there's a chance that all the high-rated QBs are Vince Youngs and not Cam Newtons.

It's possible FAs would want to stay away from Cleveland. #BecauseCleveland
