If you're going to say that, we're talk 90+ at least.

Interesting, many of the podcasts I listen to have the hosts reading copy (like an old-school radio broadcast), that seems like it'd be difficult to have different copy for different platforms. For that matter, I listen through Player.FM[0] right now, so I wonder how many platforms they shell out for. I wonder if there are slots like sports TV, where there are "national" that are everywhere, but then a set of slots for "local" (platform) ads. [0] I don't particularliy recommend them. It's fine, but sync across devices is a premium feature. Switching phones is annoying. I'm still on them through a combination of inertia and not wanting to tie myself to something like Amazon Music of Spotify that I may change my mind on paying for and similarly have to re-subscribe everything.

Realistically, it can probably go as long as it likes. There's not much required budget for making a podcast, and those two should have plenty of money from their playing days to live a middle-class lifestyle (or more spendy in Rivet's case) that this could make zero money and last forever. I'm not sure if they're employing producers or anything, however.

The Canadian Hockey Media did a fine job of cleaning out my gutters this weekend, I highly recommend!

GDT:The Season Opener! Montreal at Buffalo 10/14/21 7pm MSG, WGR550

Not sure on that, lol. -
I'm a little wary of the snowblower; I'm sure it'll be powerful enough to move the snow, but if I end up with a longer driveway I'd be worried about running out of electrons. Takes two batteries, so I can't have a spare like the push mower (I have three of the big batteries right now)
-
Earlier this year, I picked up a battery-powered lawn mower, trimmer, snow blower, and leaf blower[0]. Since then, I can't fathom why "Leaf Blower" isn't a slang term for the "National" Canadian hockey media. [0] They're awesome, BTW. Maybe if I need a riding mower I'll go gas, but never for anything smaller than that.

King Clancy: Jack Eichel

https://www.indy100.com/celebrities/john-cusack-calls-barstool-sports-guy-a-sweaty-belligerent-punk-after-confrontation-at-baseball-game-b1936340 I assume this is normal for Barstool sports, since it fits my worldview.

Dreger: Eichel situation may be shifting, multiple teams involved

Nice find. Insurance will insure a lot of things, just maybe with drastically increased premiums. No knowledge of the current situation, but there has to be some premium level that they'd insure the contract. It might be so much (like a significant portion of the remaining contract, for instance) that no one wants to flush that money down the toilet whether it works or not. -
Unless I'm not getting it, it's frozen pizza branded Barstool Sports. They may be onto something, for unhealthy processed convenience foods, I definitely feel like those guys[0] would know their stuff. [0] Normally, I'd use "people" or "folks", but somehow I don't think women figure into that bro-fest much.
-
Because for certain groups, your brand is nothing if you can't put it on some crappy products. All the DB bros will eat that ***** up. (pun totally intended)

First, my post came off way more adversarial than I meant, mea culpa. Second, unlikely I'll see you in the GDT. I gave up a couple years ago for a number of reasons. Maybe if the Sabres get good again before I die (I'm in my mid-40s, so I give it 50/50 odds) I'll be able to care, but it's not right now. I only really come here because I like the people.

I don't disagree, but prime-time national games aren't aimed at an NFL-savvy audience, just like the Stanley Cup Finals and Superbowl are not broadcast like regular season games. Just mute and move on, I guess.
-
On the flip side, why be a fan if nothing turns you on and everything boils your blood?
-
I'm wondering (but enough to go look) if he's like Joe Buck, where everyone thinks he's rooting for the other team. Which probably means, as a national broadcaster, he's doing his job.

Is the Allen Hurdle going to be like the Soupy Campbell spin-o-rama, where every once in awhile he busts it out and everyone can't believe he did it and it worked? I can live with that.

I haven't been following closely, there's the "usual" surgery, and the one Jack wants. Since neither seem to want to budge, could he heal on his own? Or does some surgery have to happen or he's LITR for the next 5 years? -

ROR: was a healthy 1C on many teams, terrible return. Eichel: injured 1C on most teams, anyone thinking another team will trade the same as a healthy Eichel is dreaming. I seriously doubt any team is to pay full value (as defined as a healthy Jack). There's risk to trading for Eichel because he may not come back to 100% (or at all); that's going to downgrade his price. The only way Jack draws full price is if he heals up (one way or another) and proves he's 100%. Otherwise it'd be incredibly dumb for a GM to bet the farm on him. -

Surgery: $35000 Voided Contract if goes wrong and he never plays again: $50,000,000 (or something like that) As others have said, there are a lot of moving parts. Jack, the Sabres, other teams, and probably most of all, insurance. No one wants to eat/lose $50M on a gamble. -
Sabres Send Jack Quinn and Brett Murray to Rochester

I was reading something earlier around Binghamton's team (FPHL or some odd league), and there was a guy that played a game or two in the NHL that put up like 2-3 points per game and more than a goal a game for a season. We do take things for granted but all the bubble guys are still pretty incredible at their sport. -
Most likely: someone legitimately changed something and broke, either Facebook's network folks or their upstream provider. I was just talking a friend at work, and she mentioned that even if you're working on something that's not right at the edge between you and your ISP, the errors can propagate to the edge router and mess things up too, so may have been something deeper in the network. It's entirely possible someone did it on purpose to make a statement too, although I'd *hope* that at this level there are good controls on who can make changes, right? RIGHT? Insider threat is always the hardest one to protect against.

I think you meant "you can't tell me what to do, you're not my real dad" because that's all I'm hearing from those two right now.
