You beat me to it. The push for regs that are either toothless or at least better than the alternative proposals. Then they'll whine about all the regulations later.

I'm fully aware of the libertarian party, and it has a significant draw for me. But it should, it's gov't would give middle-aged white males (of which I am) exactly what they want (lower taxes, police, and 'freedom') with out the stuff we don't really want (welfare, regulartion, etc.). the problem, as articulated above, is helping those in need. And, I firmly believe the coutry needs some regulation. I don't want to have to research everything I buy to make sure it isn't going to kill me. For instance, you *know* that many companies would put whatever they could into food and other products as long as they could make them cheaper, public heath be damned. The banks have already caused two financial meltdowns in my short lifetime (the S&L scandal and sub-prime mortgages) and can't be trusted to not screw the economy again. I really wish it wasn't that way, but that's how I see it.

You asked for which planks I disagreed with, and I listed them for you. I mentioned a few I didn't have as many issues with as counter-examples. I suppose that I could have went into more detail, but I think when someone says they have issues with the Republicans' stance on gay rights it didn't mean that they have too many already, at least not in the context.
-
Women's rights, gay rights, and mingling religion and government are the first to come to mind. Guns are fine as long as local government can place more restrictions (the gun issues in the country aren't the same as in the city). I'm fine with universal heath care as long as it's done right, I have a tough time denying others easy access to health care so I can have a few more ducets.

That's the problem with the system, on various things I agree with each party. I'd vote republican if only going on my personal financial interests and few other things, but I *so* disagree with some of the social planks that I don't know I can ignore them. A true democracy sounds fantastic, but is completely untenable in any organization over a few hundred people due to the amount of time required for individuals.

Fair enough, but I think people are more worried about the cap hit. Maybe teams will start structuring deals as such as 1, 1, 10, 10. :)

:w00t: Sorry to hear about the scratch though, that really sucks.
-
Get CSI:Bahstan on it. They'll find that from the trace metal left in the scratch that there's only one brand of car that uses that key. They'll also find that there's no ozone bonded to the key from being used in close proximity to electronics so it's never been used in an ignition. Lastly, a traffic camera a mile away and super-pixel-sharpen shows it was the manager from the dealership!

Sounds good to me. And Waldo, really dude, lighten up. (unless I'm being sucked in by that same witty sarcasm I believe DeLuca is display)

The voices in my head report that it's absolutely certain Doan will sign before showing up at some team's camp. You heard it here first.

Or they said, "We don't have cap space for that, plus we already have our gritty players with skill slots filled". Not every team has the same needs.

This is oddly topical, I learned about it during lunch today. The longest single word gramtically correct sentence in English is: Buffalo buffalo, Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffalo_buffalo_Buffalo_buffalo_buffalo_buffalo_Buffalo_buffalo

Maybe it looks like Hipstagram.

Clapton seems to cover a lot of stuff, which I find interesting. It was way more prevalent years ago than it is now. But since it was mentioned, "Cocaine" is a cover, as is "After Midnight" (both by JJ Cale). Those are probably the songs that I most identify with Clapton (Layla too, and that was with Jim Gordon). I wonder how well Clapton actually writes music.
-
I'm with him on this one. Eric Clapton is fine and all, but if I'm thinking about blues I'm thinking about Muddy Waters or BB King.

I'm in the same boat now. At one point, I probably spent more time at my buddy's house practicing than I did at home.

I *so* wanted a Rickenbacker when I was playing more. I'd still love one, but I really can't justify it.

Yeah, the Bonnie is a bit small for me (6'2"). Triumph now has a few bigger cruisers with vertical twins and a triple, but I haven't been on them other than a quick ride on a Rocket 3. That thing makes me look small.

The Replacements. It's fun. Nigel is footballer they recruit to be a place-kicker. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0191397/

Wasn't it his second or third? -
If you're in the mood for German food and great beer, The Bier Garden in Portsmouth VA is fantastic. I was supposed to be down there this week but my trip got cancelled. :(

Nail, head. If you're feeling generous, they really believe there all this fraud going on that's benefitting the Democrats. If you're not, they figure they can scare away enough Democrat-voting poors to swing the election.
