off topic Best, Worst and Overrated WNY Restaurants...

Truth. Mighty is good if you only have Taco Bell to compare it to. Double-plus truth. A couple years ago, a group of us did a cheesesteak ride around Philly. Roughly 10 of us, we'd order 2-3 cheesesteaks at each place (5 total), have a bit, and rate them. Last stop was Tony Luke's. After the steaks, someone ordered the roast pork (exactly as above); that was by far the best thing I had all day. Why the ###### weren't we eating those all along? -
Is that any different than what Gaustad did in the next Bruins game (other than, you know, winning the fight)? Where's all the video of Bruin players taking out the Pens' stars from the game that the hit took place?

New thread. The old one was started Aug 18th, maybe swap it that day?

Sorrentino's just closed up. Really sad about it, that was my go-to pizza place. -

The Drew Stafford Award for Squandered Potential goes to Tantalus in East Aurora. Interesting menu with good food, great beer selection, cool space, horrible service the last few times I've been there. I actually walked out last time, waiting 10 minutes to put in a drink order is unacceptable in a half-filled restaurant. -
I was going to jump on having Ennis on the third line, but this is intriguing. I bet getting Breire and Hartnell out of Philly is harder than what you propose.

The problem I see is it's not even really a state issue. It'd be more accurate to say what works for Wyoming County may not work well for Erie County. It's really urban vs. rural, and various states just have different balances of those factors. I'd almost rather see gun control at a certain level by the federal government, then regulated further by municipalities in theory. Ideally, there'd be a standard 'menu' of levels for the municipalities to choose from, although that hodgepodge would be pretty difficult to manage.

I'm reading that as the OHL assigns players to teams, right? If the players pick, it's no different than college sports, I suppose.

Surprisingly competent but not something you'd build a collection around?

Cool! I'll see if I can find it. Thanks!

After seeing that commercial for "Stars Earn Stripes", they're using a *very* loose definition of "Stars".

Any chance we could narrow down the date? I'd be curious if the NHL archive would have it.

That's *so* not a word, lol.

You know, it's probably not *that* different than taking a hit in hockey or football. I give him complete credit though, I'd be rolling around for at least 10 minutes.

Woo! Friday complaint post! None of my bikes is completely functional. And I don't have enough time for the TLC to nurse them back to health. Even my mountain bike isn't shifting well.

It's not in bad shape. I did most of the maintenance stuff when I got it a few months ago. It was running then, but the front brake was all messed up, frozen pistons and whatnot. In the mean time, I tore one of the carburetors apart and then got busy with other things, so that's where it still sits. I was smart enough to not tear them both apart at once, at least. I have a book, so who knows. That was going to be my project for the weekend, but it looks like other things are taking over again.

Hang on until I make some popcorn, this is gonna be interesting. :)

And according to CNN, the No 1 Ranked Chinese player has thrown a hissy-fit and quit Badminton forevers.

Sorry to hear about the unplanned get-off. I've yet to manage tham myself, although I've had a few close ones. Love the old Goldwings though, I was keeping an eye out for one before buying my current project, an 82 Silverwing. Starting taking the master cylinder apart last night for my project to completely refurb the front brakes. Speaking of deer, the attached is reportedly from a rally in WV last weekend, ouch. At least it's one of the small southern deer, unlike the horses up in WNY.

The one intangible he doesn't have to be a 3rd line center is having ever played against the best players in the world. You're going to throw him out there with Crosby, Ovechkin, etc. and expect him to be fine? I'd be pretty surprised. (Also, there's another fairly established poster on here with Ennis the Menace in some form. It's going to get confusing. :))

Oh, it'll fill up. Unfortunately some other places will likely empty out in the process.

Oh, a R1200C bike. I kinda wanted one when I bought mine. I'm happy I didn't since it turns out I like the somewhat sporty side of things. I can't figure out what they did with that engine though. The R1150 engines from the same era have 85 HP and 70 ft-lbs of torque. All I can think is BMW wanted to match up with Harley, which at the time was the Twin Cam 88 which put out very similar +-58HP and +-70 ft lbs numbers. Maybe they figured the cuiser crowd would be afraid of anything that spun more than 6000 times a minute. :) :)

You could go with the star for a star, and go hit their scroing guys.

That is catchy. You wonder about the satire aspect, or are they copying what they see in American videos? Amusing nonetheless. Reminded me of this video, which is just *so* ridiculous you wonder if tongue is planted in cheek or not. (NSFW, language)
