Drane, you old such and such! They're the largest of the water-dog breeds?

I don't see the Sabres doing that, really, unless the return is good. Right now, the only thing they're limited by (if you buy into the Warbucks-Pegula theory) *is* the cap. I think they'd rather buy him out or trade him for pucks than have a cap-tax for the next 4-5 years.

Jeez. So yeah, you've gone from fly in NA with a very very very small chance of being in an air crash to RUS with a very very small chance of being in a air crash. Still have a better chance of dying in a car crash. I don't think that factors in that much.

Think Scott Hartnell, but didn't show as much talent. Hustle, fights, hits, and wasn't an embarrassment in the offensive zone. Skated with Vanek (?) if I recall for a bit?

I was going to ask that question: is Nasssib underrated because he's playing on a mediocre team in a mediocre conference? Andre Reed was picked in the 4th round, FWIW, probably because Kutztown State isn't on the map.

That's how I read it. You can't trade Stafford + a 2nd round pick + 2013 buy-out for Nugent-Hopkins. :)

It does sound good right now, I think it's subliminal. There's a place down the street that makes a sub-par but tolerable Texas Hotdog (as in Seneca Texas Hots or Louie's) which popped up in my Facebook feed. Additionally, I missed out on fresh Polish sausage on my last trip to Buffalo. I'll have to buy some this weekend when I'm up there.

What channel is it on? I might actually watch if it's over the air (and not on ABC, I don't pick that one up for some reason).

Derek Roy?

I can't stop myself from making this joke: this team has plenty of queens already. Sorry folks.

So it's one of those odd red bananas I'm always afraid to try at the grocery store?
-
I figured that was a hot dog or a sausage.

If it gets to the point were Makarov is playing on the Sabres, you think we'll hear a "He's hotter than a pistol" call? http://en.wikipedia..../Makarov_pistol (one of only two pistols I've fired)

That makes sense. So Leino is now one of those players whose cap hit is higher than is salary, which low-budget teams are supposedly looking for. The only problem there is will anyone want to take on 4 more years. It'd be better if it was only a couple more. Next born son? :) That too, I still have hope for him after watching play here in Philly. FWIW, he showed some nastiness and chirp last season, so he may be useful as-is, just overpaid. As opposed to Boyes who was overpaid and mostly useless.

I'd guess Lu not getting traded may be in part due to the lockout. I think many teams would take on either of Vanek or Miller, they don't have as negative view of them. If you get anything back (even picks), that's better than a buy-out. Leino, maybe. Although at $4.5M (cap-hit), he's not *that* expensive. I suspect you might get a low-budget team to give up a pick or two for him after this season when the signing bonuses are paid out.

I think you misread that post. :)

One might argue having term limits would just put them more in the pocket of lobbyists (I know, hard to believe), since they'd need to set themselves up for a job after their term.

It happens when you take photos. I have a friend who's a semi-pro, and when he's taking landscapes (not his pro gig) he'll take a picture, look at it on his camera, and when he gets back find there's power lines or some other unattractive thing in the shot. The human brain is very good at filtering out stuff that's 'not important' to the task at hand, like listening to one person in a crowded room. I watched a couple shows over the holidays on cable about it, crazy stuff.

Same here. I didn't listen to much disco growing up, being two years old when that song was released. It has grown on me a bit, mostly via listening to ELO.

I believe that's correct. The kid's 19 (tomorrow) in a league filled with 20-24 year-olds, some of whom would be on NHL rosters had there not been a lockout. I think he'll be fine. Maybe not on the NHL roster this year or even in the next couple, but within a few years.
-
Pretty much. If all the guys in the ring of fame or whatever pooled their money, they *might* have enough to get into the room.

Just make sure she agrees.
