I'm curious: how does Adam not get ranked, but Foligno does? Is there some think that if you play in the NHL and then get sent back down you're no longer ranked?

I think the payroll money would be fine with TP, but the retained salary still counts towards the cap. I doubt you're going to see a team that is spending at the cap trade and then have a $1-2m hole for the next two (three?) years.

More food for thought, although I like LPF's food more now that I've read it. A 2013 pick from the Kings right now is a known commodity, that pick will be somewhere around #50 unless something crazy happens in the next couple weeks. Which, going by the statistics is pretty much a crap shoot. Maybe Darcy is hoping the Kings are set to fall down the standings some in the coming years.
