  1. Beef Mancake.
  2. Or more accurately, 15.5-11.5. You can't just ignore the points because you don't like them.
  3. Hey, mine's a 7th rounder. There were no expectations for T-rod.
  4. There's odd rules about what colors your 3rd jersey can be. Seems like it has to be the same colors as your regular jersey, or a color set that the team has used in the past. And no, the Bisons don't count since that wasn't the NHL.
  5. Marty Biron was the only player to play in all the jerseys, but that was before they salted the slug. 3rd jersey: sure, why not? I'd guess it'll be a royal blue and gold, considering how much TP loves that era.
  6. Many of the Imperial IPA aren't as hoppy as you'd think. Ranch R and the 90 and 120 minute IPA's being good examples.
  7. Unless the team systematically gives up odd-man rushes and bad giveaways. <_< As for Enroth, if I were writing the book on him, I'd say to shoot high since he's small and does tend to drop down a little early at times. Or, shoot for a rebound. He tends to be a bit scrambly and leaves the net open after making the initial save. There's times (like this past weekend) where he looks solid. Then there's that stretch last year where he (and the team) had nothing going on. I'd say, ignoring the numbers, that Miller is in the top 10 in the NHL, and we have nothing proven that is going to take over. I'm not sure what to make of that in terms of trades. Great goalies seem to be difficult to read ahead of time, and it seems like lots of "Good/great" goalies move to another team and then stink up the joint. Good thing I'm not a GM. :)
  8. I've only been to McFadden's once, but they have a bunch of Bills pennants hanging there. It was a busy Friday night and they put the Sabres on one of the TVs for me (I was just stopping in for a quick one since I wanted to check it out). I didn't see any other Sabres fans there, but I didn't look very hard. I've run into Sabres fans at various bars from time to time around the area, and this weekend on the train. So just keep an eye out and check in here. No idea on the carding, May-Ray-Barnaby were throwing bombs and Plante was scoring on Tugnutt the last time I had to worry about that.
  9. That seems like preaching to the choir.
  10. Victory's Swing Saison. Great session beer, I could drink it all day (and did on Saturday bar hopping thru Philly and watching the game). I think I just might be ready for summer beers, I have some 21st Amendment Hell or High Watermelon that's quite good too. Had a glass of Dogfish's World-wide Stout the other day. It's a really great beer, but it's sadly only a one per day kind of thing at 18% (yes, 18%). Fairly cheap at my local place too, $7 for a 10oz pour. The other time I had it I paid $15 for a 12oz bottle.
  11. I have a stomach thing going on, but I'm not letting that get me down. I'm working in pyjamas, the bike is running well, and I'm doing a pub-trip down into Philly to watch the game tomorrow. Sunday is an all-day ride.
  12. Come on, you can do better than that. Stafford, Adam, sign-and-trade Hecht, and a 2014 2nd rounder.
  13. Well, if you're a cynic the NHL has "Seen the writing on the wall" (that gay equality will happen eventually) and wanted to get some press out of it. If you're not a cynic, the NHL and NHLPA decided that it was important enough to say something about it. There's often a certain amount of politics in sports (National anthems and flags flying that don't represent all the players, etc.), so I don't see this as a big deal.
  14. I'm going to go with 3 sets of 3: Yay, Hockey's Back They'll get better ###### ######ity ######
  15. I haven't been watching the games too closely, but that's the impression I've gotten as well. I've noticed Stafford making the effort to back check, to throw checks, and generally look like a hockey player. Yeah, everyone is going to focus on the blown coverage on the second goal, but I don't think Staff has been playing that badly, other than not putting the puck in the net. Same with Myers, for that matter. His effort is there and he is being more physical. Seems like both those guys are prone to a few glaring errors though, which gets them a lot of the negative press.
  16. Dude, they're so sandbagging the warm-ups. They deserve the boos. ;)
  17. The Sabres have been desperate for a 6-man attack for decades.
  18. Thanks for that. These people that happen to play sports are not robots.
  19. I think they are actually illegal in NJ, FWIW.
  20. Having just gotten back from Thailand, neither of them have the looks to be lady boys.
  21. Chz's Law!
  22. I guess that accounts for both of your posts. :) :) Welcome!
  23. The problem is there are other grown men, making just as much money, trying to keep the puck *in* the zone. You have to account for that.
