  1. Heh. At least there are tons of tag places, so as long as you pick your spot registering your car will only be a 20-minute process. My wife just did her switch a month or three ago. Don't remember it being that bad, but we had a BC, passport, marriage license, and some stuff (magazines) with her name on them. And I was there, with my existing PA license. I don't remember it being that bad the first time around, but that was long enough ago (2005) that the federal checks on licenses weren't in place yet. (hint: I'm betting if you were a new NYS resident it'd be just as bad). Complaint: the new WGR Android app. Seems they forgot the quit/close button again so it's always running. Coupled with the new, more invasive privs, it's uninstalled now.
  2. Overheard in Philly: 15-year-old kid, "I wonder why the Danny Briere jerseys are on sale." Dad: "That's because the Flyers cut him." "What? The Flyers are so stupid."
  3. Good for him, maybe he can catch on with a winning team.
  4. That's the great thing about football ramping up: hockey isn't far behind.
  5. And, starred in my "Places to Try" list. Thanks! I haven't been to this place before, but I've heard good things about it: http://www.bubesbrewery.com/ It's in Mt. Joy, so only an exit or three further down the road.
  6. I don't know the details, but there has to be some sort of electrical connector between the wheel and the column which slides (I don't think you could get away with a straight cord since the wheel turns too far). Or, there is a cable and the individual wires have broken/worn the insulation off so their intermingling in an electron ######. Sorry to say it, but I doubt it will be cheap (if I'm right, I hope I'm not).
  7. Elma, but close enough. Iroquois 1994.
  8. Those "One Before I Die" kids are too young to be whining.
  9. I have a Thurman Thomas signed hat somewhere. He spoke at the EMW (Elma - Marilla - Wales) football banquet when I was a kid.
  10. Cool. Cambodian is a lot like Thai with less spice. So I'm guessing it's all pretty similar. I'll have to find a Laotion place down in Philly to try it for myself. Lunch: few-days-old Wegmans Basamati rice, with fresh ground black pepper and Dinosaur BBQ seasoning. It's one step up from baked beans straight out of the can (Hobo-beans).
  11. 6-10. That's been my prediction every year since the mid-90s.
  12. I didn't get a chance to try any Laotion food when I was over there. Is it more similar to Cambodian, Vietnamese, or Thai?
  13. Why wouldn't hops be vegan? Colour me confused.
  14. Soupy - other NHL regular Janek - Jillson Fitzpatrick - ? That's all I can remember.
  15. I shed a few, I'm not afraid to admit. Not to that guys level though.
  16. I lucked out. I was across the street from my apartment at Sly Fox Brewing watching the game. After the second period, the TV feed disappeared. I walked home and it was not on my TV either (some error message). So I didn't have to watch, just listen on WGR. I remember the first caller afterwards breaking down in tears.
  17. Most of the non-hockey fans I know sum the game up as too boring. Some guys skate around, once in a very great while someone scores. I think we just need to disagree, though, since there's not really a right answer.
  18. One can argue that the quality of the game would also do wonders for the NHL as well.
  19. Yeah, I figured out just after I posted. Oops. So the WGR guys are talking about moving NJD somewhere. That was my first thought when I heard that. It doesn't seem like the NYC area needs three teams (especially with NYI being in the 5 boroughs now). Ship them to Seattle, the true hockey fans will gravitate to the Flyers, NYI, or NYR.
  20. I'm not sure that's possible, doesn't the same guy (Ed Synder?) own the Flyers? EDIT: Nevermind, I'm getting something mixed up.
  21. We've! Been! Trolled!
  22. They're on my list of acts I really want to see. although I never get to concerts these days, so I may never get the chance.
  23. My regular doc is "Dr. Brian Boucher". :)
  24. My wife swears by the neti pot. She said it was really odd at first, but got used to it.
