That's what I was thinking. I'm not sure which way the wind is blowing, is blindside OK as long as you don't get the head?
-
Sounds like you're Ville Leino, we're gonna run you out of town!
-
There isn't really one. I think the Friday was a follow-on to Complaint Thursday, but this one started later.
-
Hmm, I was talking about going to that game with a buddy of mine, let me talk to him and maybe I'll just grab three tix. They're not too hard to come by these days. :) Oops, my bad. So I'm at $710, and again I'm putting one unit at the low-low price of $330 on SJ.

The post above is the last bet I made. With the Rags win, I'd think I'm at 710+100. Unless I'm still not getting how this works or I miscalculated the $710 on 31 October. It's all fake money anyway and I don't think I'm winning the contest :).
-
I'm at 810, right? In any case: 330 on Sharks.

Too late, but there was a long thread about this a couple years ago, might still be around.

I just hope you don't follow my advice and find the odd hoppy lager or pilsner. :) Forgot Saison on the list too, similar to Belgian Golden Ales and Wheats.
-
Most of the mediocre to middling brewers just throw hops at beer, because it's become a p-ennis thing, "my beer is hoppier than yours" and some of the consumers are eating it up. I'd guess it's like hot sauce/chili competitions. But, you can at least get to know your styles to help. Stouts, porter, amber, lager, pilsner, bock, belgian, and wheats, among others will be your friend. Anything with "pale ale", especially IPA steer clear.

I stick to the pine-scented soap and stronger concentrations, although some nice lemon stuff is refreshing in the summer.

NHL Gamecenter and replays. It's really annoying that once a game completes, it's unavailable to watch for a few hours while (I assume) they process out all the commercials and intermissions. Twice this year I didn't manage to start the game before it was over and couldn't watch it at least until I went to sleep around midnight. If I had started it 2 minutes before the end, I'd be able to watch the entire game.

I think I'm at $710. $200 (one unit, right?) on Rags.

Ott is either the kind of guy that loves his situation no matter what it is, or he's smart enough to know that his job is to say positive things to the media. Or, he's loving playing in a hockey-town.

Yes, they used a mornal buyout on Gerbe. Maybe Stafford. Doubtful on Myers. To my eyes, Leino has looked fairly good at getting and keeping the puck on the boards, and other than being tripped the other night, hasn't been a liability. He's a bit overpaid but not so much that he needs to be gone. Although if he gets hurt again before the end of the season, I think the team should declare him Timmy and buy him out.

Either Chz had one of those blackout Margarita nights or it wasn't open yesterday so might as well open it today. But really, what do we Sabres fans have to complain about?
-
I suppose it could come to something like, "the last suspension was 10 games, so the next is 15." without the arbitrator, or "well the last was reduced to 7, so the next is 10", but that would require there be more rhyme and reason coming out of the NHL offices for that to make sense. Not that I'm saying implying there's a Buffalo bias, just a star bias of which Buffalo has none.
-
At $$710, $100 on Buffalo, why not.

You know, I was going to put in the "except in really odd circumstances", like having a twin brother and having said that they're a package deal. :) Every year people talk about the first overall getting traded, and yet we only have one example of it happening. Even this year, with Colorado loaded up with high picks from previous year they still went first.
-
I don't need no advanced stats like winning %. Points are the only thing that matters. :)
-
You had me up to here. There are almost *no* examples of trading the first overall (any?), and especially in a draft that is reportedly rather weak. The Sabres should be trading for 2015 picks, even though that puts them a year further down the road for the rebuild.
-
Hockey Valhalla?
-
Winning %? We're not even last in points. I'm really excited about my yearly Sabres/Flyers game this year!
-
Hmm, I just looked at the prediction thread and apparently I said the Sabres will manage 81 points there. I'm guessing we'll go an unheard of 20-21-41. :)

My guess would be that what was a couple page romantic anecdote in the book became a major part of the movie. Gotta give the average[0] girls that get forced to watch the movie something. It's like that one scene in Titanic in reverse. [0] As opposed to the hockey-loving ladies of Sabrespace!
