My former beer fridge is out in the garage, but I haven't used it in quite awhile. It's covered with Sabres stickers and magnets, FWIW. It used to live at the end of my couch.

Slow-smoked bacon. Think, slab of bacon in the smoker. OMG (WTFBBQ).

I probably spoke poorly. There's no good reason to have it at home in light of trying to lose weight and drink less. :) There are plenty of good reasons to have beer at home. Working in the garage, for instance.

The first few days are tough, but after a few more I start to lose the craving. I've decided that I'm no longer keeping beer in the house. I'll have some when I'm out for a "special" occaision (like, "It's Thursday!"), but there's no good reason to have it at home.

The more I think about it, it was the wheat, not the darker beer I was thinking about. It was a completely serviceable wheat beer, but I had already had a few others before that I don't have a clear memory of it. I would definately seek out more beers from them. Good to see you, SD. May all the Sabres-Canes games be fun and hard faught... and Canes losses. :)

I had some Hanburg at the Hamburg Octoberfest a week or two ago. Not bad, but nothing that jumped out at me either. They only had one beer of a style I'm not particularly fond of though, so I'd love to try a few of their others.

Beer while mending fences is in PA law. Complaint: already late for work this morning, two seperate random traffic jams slowed me down even more. One was a lane blocked for mowing, the second was an accident in a construction zone. There was an accident in the same area on the other side of the highway, I'm betting one of those was a rubber-neck rear ending.

I don't think you're in the minority, I think a somewhat vocal minority does want him gone. Rickshaw, how about a poll on this post? How about: Gone, Keep, or Keep only if he cleans up. I think he's valuable enough that if he picks his spots (and he seems to have been better about that lately, last game notwithstanding), he has enough speed, hands, and D ability to be worthwhile guy on the 4th line.

Those soft teams will never go anywhere in the playoffs.

I spy... an American flag hung the wrong way. The blue field is always in the top-left corner (and yes, it does seem wrong). The blue field on the bottom right (upside down) is a signal of distress.

Earle's beer is pretty good. On par with most microbrews you run in to. Last year he made the mistake of putting all the high-octane stuff on tap with predictable results.

Oh, Boo! That's the same day my friend is having his party. 4 taps, mostly his own brew, a BBQ truck, and he lets us race dirtbikes on his property.

I did notice that streaming a game and Google video-chat at the same time caused some trouble, FWIW.

I'm wired (100Mbps Ethernet). My FIOS is (I believe) 25/5Mbps, and the stream isn't using all of that 25MBps so unless your Wifi sucks I don't think that'll be an issue. I have streamed over Wifi to my phone with no issues. I believe got a 3MBps stream most of the time last year, which any Wifi should be able to handle. Cable or FIOS should be fine. Just to agree, I watch via my PS3 and it's way better than SD, but not quite as good as a "real" NBC or local cable feed. Way better than the Center Ice feed for most games though. I got it when I cancelled cable so I'd have a way to watch games, but I would do it again even if I still had cable. Laptop or phone is cool too, since you can watch places you normally wouldn't. I missed a bunch of games on my honeymoon, so I fired up the laptop and listened/watched all the back games while cleaning up the basement. I'm figuring on working on bikes in the garage this winter with the game on.

Well, I'd guess it was understood or sizz forgot to mention that the kids are over the moon after getting to meet professional hockey players. Stars, famous people, stories they can lord over their friends. I think they'll be OK. When I was maybe 10 or so, my Dad took me to the Canadian Open. Or going to the Anchor Bar, Duff's, Bar Bill, and Gabriel's Gate (to name a few) and ordering just French fries. (although my wife reports the fries at Bar Bill are pretty good)
