  1. Good to have my math checked. :P
  2. Sammich. Whole wheat bread (not that great though, just mushy), Muenster, arugula, Weber's mustard, and Lebanon Bologna.
  3. I prefer Franks, but both have their place. Sriracha tends to overpower stuff, and being thicker it's a lot harder to distribute evenly. But, my wife stocked up when she heard anyway, she likes it more than me.
  4. I'm pretty rusty on my probability, but picking 1st both times (via the lottery and being in last) would be 25% * 25%, or 6.3%. Picking #1 zero times (again from last place) is 75% * 75%, or 56% (ouch). The remainder is 37.5%, which is picking #1 once in two years. (25% * 75% + 75% * 25%).
  5. I get what you're saying, but I'm not sure what we really need (a top-3 forward) could be had for one of our D-prospects. I'd be thinking of trading pick #2 for someone's 3-6 pick *and* a solid forward prospect (I'm looking at you, Edmonton!). That being said, I'm not sure top-3 prospect+pick 3-6 == #2 (Ekbald) alone.
  6. Dude, you're so in if you're Sriracha-worthy.
  7. I'm grabbing a case of Victory Beer and heading over. Good enough?
  8. Been washing your Superbowl spirit on the gentle cycle for the last twenty years? Or even hand washing? No more, my friends! New stock! http://www.zubaz.com/Bills-Zubaz-_-1769923250_PG.html
  9. I have, but it's not something I care to remember. :(
  10. You'd think they'd just close off the upper seats and let everyone have free reign on the lower bowl. At least it would look full on camera. So I popped the game on, there looks to be at least an entire empty row in each section you can see from the center ice camera, maybe 50% full in those sections. There's a block directly behind the benches of 4 rows a section+ wide with *no one* in them. Granted, this is early in the second, but I have a hard time believing folks are waiting in line on the concourse.
  11. Or I might have just spelled it wrong. The quick look for a recipe I made earlier leads me to believe that biryani is like the term "BBQ" or "curry". There's a lot of variation in there depending on where you are.
  12. Thanks! I'll have to look closely too see if it'll fit in the 4-qt Dutch oven that I use as a "slow cooker". Briyani paste is an Indian spice paste that (I'd guess, I've never made it at home) you'd use to make "Briyani". :) which is kind of like an Indian-spiced version of Chinese fried rice. This paste has a little bit of a Mexican feel to it, since corriander, cumin, and chilies are the first few ingredients. The lentil concept would work with any curry paste I'd think, I just happened to have a jar of that in the fridge from a different recipe. Next time around I'm going to try adding coconut milk and some Thai curry paste (red, green, or penang).
  13. Sounds good, I was on a lentil kick last weekend, make Rice and Lentil Risotto and Briyani lentils (lentils with a bunch of Briyani paste). I happen to have quinoa, lentils, and sweet potatoes to use up, recipe?
  14. Fantastic sub. It was my favorite overall until I found Primo's (PA/NJ chain) Sharp Italian. Prosciutto, Sharp Provolone, Thumanns Capacola & Natural Casing Genoa Salami. Great cold cuts and probably the best sub rolls I've ever had. I just wish they wouldn't call them hoagies.
  15. We're getting way off-topic in terms of tablets, but: I wonder the same thing, but I think it comes down to two thing: games and lack of maintenance. I spend all day on Sabrespace fixing and maintaining servers and networks. Once upon a time I did the same at home as a hobby, now it's the last thing I want to do. I don't want to work on my home computers, and Windows PC are work. For most techies, Mac is the obvious choice because they're not really system people. I know Linux really well from work and once you know how, it doesn't consume much time to maintain. I run a command (or I could use the silly graphical program) every few days and it updates all the software on the system in the background. Not just the OS, but the browser, office, music player, etc.. I'd consider a Mac (especially for the wife), but they start out expensive so not to cut into iPad sales. Macs are very good at what they do, and very well suited to their customer base. And, for most people they're a better choice than Windows or Android. I think they'd truly take over if they gave up the premium good thing and sold less-expensive models. They're not for me though, they're "computing appliances". They work well but there's no "fun" to it. It's like a playoff game vs. an all-star game.
  16. That's fantastic! :) The Lemmy card sounds pretty awesome too!
  17. What's interesting (to me at least) is that I find iPhones (and Macs) to be completely unintuitive. Maybe I'm "used" to Android or something. :) As for the the list above, scanning (other than taking a photo) and printing are not that well developed in the tablets I've tried (iPad and Android). If you're looking for something that works in the car, you might need a laptop (possibly Touch-friendly "convertable tablet/laptop) running Windows. I don't know business and customers, but it'd be a lot easier if the estimate forms were electronic on the tablet, then emailed to the customer.
  18. I'd be disabling that light. Any way possible.
  19. I can only give you one data point, the 1st gen Nexus 7 works fine for Netflix and NHL Gamecenter. Haven't tried others. I like the Nexus 7, but it has kind of a "very large phone" feel to it. It's sitting on the coffee table in front of me right, but for some reason I usually grab my phone (probably out of habit, or maybe it's the annoying book-like cover my wife likes on it). I almost wish I got the 10, although I'd guess that's getting too big to travel with easily. That being said, if I'm at home and sitting I still much prefer a laptop. Tablet and phone apps just seem limited in configuration to me.
  20. I too bought the wife (well, not at the time) a Nexus 7 last xmas. Nice tablet, I like it. You can install the Kindle App, Nook app, or any other reader on it. I have a Nook Simple touch (similar in function to the Kindle paperwhite), and while I like it quite a bit, it's a fancy book. Without some hacking it essentially only lets you read and purchase books (I'm reasonably sure the regular Kindle is the same way). Both are good in their own way. With the wireless turned off, the Nook ST will last a month or more which makes it a great camping/motorcycle companion since outlets aren't easy to find.
  21. Good to hear, I was hoping that we weren't in a Sabres-bubble about it.
  22. I appreciate the reading (and the hope), but is anywhere that doesn't have "Sabres" in the name talking about the kid? I'm really wondering.
  23. "Straight up in a proper shot glass" Why on earth would anyone want to drink out of a shot glass?
