  1. You a tea-bagger or loose? ;)
  2. That goes to Bettman, right? And he can adjust it (+ or -) or leave it alone?
  3. As I think I've mentioned before here, the NFL has sections on not punching people in their handbook and classes for players on how to deal with this stuff. I've heard there are role-playing examples in the classroom.
  4. That sounds like a pretty good idea! :) :)
  5. I'd see what #3 or #4 wants to give up for #2 (Eckblad).
  6. With Danny how much of that was being a small, skill player in the post-lockout1 NHL? I think the NHL changed, him not as much.
  7. Thread still open, fantastic! The first few flakes are starting to fall here in SE PA, and I love snow. There's talk about 4-8" here, which as you all know is not the same as 4-8" in Buffalo. I don't blame the towns not having a fleet of plows for the 2-3 times a year here that it snows. I do blame the PA drivers for having no clue how to drive in snow despite that it snows a few times each year.
  8. From here on out, this is Chz and Josie in my head.
  9. I'll be the voice of dissent: using a current player is in bad taste. Come July 1, maybe.
  10. I kinda knew that, but only barely. More surprising was our Thai guide in Thailand was confused when I asked about it, and when she figured out what we were talking about said that they have it, but it's much different there. I don't remember seeing sriracha anywhere, but there was always a container of chilies and garlic on the table everywhere we went (somewhat like the other Huy Fong sauce).
  11. I'll second that, there really seems to be something not ticking over right with Tim.
  12. Around the NHL AHL ECHL(?): Tim Connelly going full-recluse. http://www.syracuse.com/crunch/index.ssf/2013/12/tim_connolly.html If someone already posted, my apologies.
  13. I'm quite upset there isn't a fine wine appreciation thread. -Chet
  14. $200 on Ottawa. Gotta stay consistent. Edit: I'm at $260
  15. I found this. I'm not sure that aging for month would do anything other than have something interesting to write on the label, though. http://www.foodrepublic.com/2011/12/01/barrel-bourbon-finds-its-sea-legs
  16. Not that I'm subscribing to this tinfoil-hattism, but Pittsburgh was, I believe, nearly bankrupt and it was assumed it was going to move around this time, wasn't it?
  17. Not as weird as you'd think. I don't know his play, but if he's not good enough to break into the top-6 on a team, and he's not physical or defensive enough to be in the bottom-6, there's no place for him on most teams. And that doesn't even touch on the possibility there's an "issue". Tropp and D'Agostino would seem to fit the latter condition for bottom-6.
  18. I'm at 400, 140 on Ottawa. Gotta get back in some time.
  19. Leftover home-made pierogi and fried sauerkraut.
  20. The game was in Boston right? Good luck on that one. People are all up-in-arms about the knockout game, though, maybe they'll make Thornton an example for playing it. (ha, ha)
  21. No, that's a great example of non-intent. The driver in your example (presumably) didn't *intend* to crash his car into other people. He's guilty of gross negligence though.
  22. Was it the Islanders that last year were picking up everyone on waivers?
  23. I don't know that I've ever had a beer that was too hoppy for my tastes, but I've had quite a few that were mediocre beer with a lot of hop added. A good, really hoppy beer is fantastic. :)
  24. That looks like a Cannon design, all glass (I used to work there). It really doesn't fit into the rest of Buffalo's skyline though, I'd love to see something that complements the other deco buildings.
  25. :) I forget if I posted this before, forgive me: http://www.woebermustard.com/products.shtml Blasphemy!
