See here's the issue: compliance/amnesty buyouts, unless I'm mistaken, can only be used at the end of this year. After that in order to jettison Leino the Sabres either have to find a trade partner or normal-buyout which cuts into the cap. I don't know who is going to trade for him, and I'd hate if a few years down the road that cap penalty would be killing the team from bringing a good trade or UFA. Buy Leino out with one of the two compliance boyouts, and give some scrub a 1-year $6M contract (John Scott!) each year until we need the space for a UFA worth that money.

I think Enroth tops out around where Miller is most years, but if I were fantasty betting I'd Enroth being Marty Biron 1.9 (not 2.0 because Enroth is too short, hey-oooh). He'll be good enough as a backup that people will think he's a starter, but when given the job he'll just barely not be good enough.

I'm not sure how old you are, but I kinda felt the same way around 2000. I'm still trying to figure out if it's that the commercials actually got worse or humor aimed at teenagers stopped working after I stopped being one. Anyone want to discuss how weird it is that beer commercials are aimed at kids that aren't legal to buy it?

You rarely see a fighting major called on one guy and not another, never mind 2 on the same team at the same time. The fight on the left of frame certainly is one guy dropping the gloves and the other not, but I can't tell what happens in the crease. The Ducks player does have one glove off, but Sestito was just wailing on him while he was down. I guess he never threw a punch in the eyes of the ref.

I forget when his birthday is, but what's the rule on that? If his birthday were tomorrow, could he play here or is he required to play in juniors until the end of the season? It'd be an odd situation if the Junior teams had to deal with players up and leaving in the middle of the season or playoffs, even.

My first day at my current job (many moons ago), my boss gave me a computer (SGI O2, which I'd never seen before and never used the OS IRIX), and said, "this is your workstation, install it and let me know if you have any questions". Donning my shiny hat, a good agent will claim that he instigated since everyone hates agents anyway. I figure we won't know for sure since we're not there, but it's at least as likely that Grigs got mad (as competitive kids are wont to do) and one way or another is back on track now. Either he figured it out on his own, or someone (Agent, Family, Friend, Teammate) read him the riot act.
