  1. Ah, just curious what type. Someone should take you for a proper twitsty ride, like on a BMW. :) I have a friend with a Black Shadow, it's just so pretty and kinda crazy that it'll still hang being made 60+ years ago. Enfields are cool too. If you were looking for something to learn on, check out the Suzuki TU250X, it's like a little Enfield. Like this: http://chautauqua.cr...4424507272.html (bike people are like married people, we're always trying to recruit) Did a fair bit of it yesterday, from Little Switzerland (MP 335) to MP 0 at the North end. I've ridden the entire thing (I think) at one time or another. It was *cold* though, probably low 40s or even high 30s up there until mid-day.
  2. Flying is a great analogy. I just spent 9 days "flying" around the mountains of Western NC (and SC, WV, VA, MD, DC, and PA) and there's nothing like a motorcycle on twisty (and hopefully hilly) road. What type of bike?
  3. While that would be great, the smartest place would probably be somewhere just west of Batavia (as much as I hate to admit it) off the thruway. Rochester area is pretty close to Buffalo in population and it might draw in some more $$ from corporate types. $$ are the only way to secure the future of the team in the area. Maybe they can run a fast ferry to Olcott Beach for all those rabid Toronto-based Bills fans, too!
  4. I haven't done it in awhile, but for awhile I was in the habit of marking down drinks on my hand with a pen. For me, it's a lot easier to appreciate the number of drinks I've had if I can see it. My wife both have trouble stopping after a number of drinks. For her it's around two, for me it's 3 or 4 depending. I've gotten better about it (and she has been for awhile), but I still fall apart once in awhile. Luckily, the very worst it gets for me is being handsy, not violent. Most people can't tell I'm drunk, I'm just quiet and mellow.
  5. Leaving on a 9-day bike trip tomorrow. Don't see many (any) more of those in the next 15 years.
  6. I was trying to remember the other "game" burger I had, and it was camel. Quite good.
  7. When I lived there, it was: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B.C._Icemen
  8. They're not, they're rooting for (in that case) Binghamton. :) I guess the parallel is how many Sabres fans rooted for Rochester for the few years they weren't affiliated?
  9. People who leave recipe reviews like this: "These are delicious! I also use Liquid Aminos instead of soy sauce. I left out the carrot & doubled the zuchinni, used fresh gluten-free bread crumbs instead of the quinoa (ground up the ends of some Udi's whole wheat bread in my magic bullet), left out the thyme, doubled the oregano, and used half a pouch of dry Italian Dressing mix to give it extra flavor :)" Gee, thanks, you've changed half of the ingredients and all the spice ratios, and somehow this still applies to the original recipe.
  10. Close enough! http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/recipe/beef-and-quinoa-meatballs I'd think a low temperature wet cooking method.
  11. Roo (I've heard) are considered on the same level as deer over in AUS: public nuisance that wreck cars. Those silly bars on the front of cars are referred to "roo bars". The kangaroo leather on my gloves are nice though, they have more abrasion resistance for the same thickness. I've had a kangaroo burger, it was good like all the other non-cow burgers (bison, ostrich, etc.).
  12. 0. Mow lawn 1. Clean up cat litter 2. Change oil on motorcycle 3. Start collecting camping and motorcycle gear 4. Maybe pack the bike if I have time I'll check the scores (I can't watch without cable anyway) and see the draft stuff tomorrow.
  13. I say Kee-no-wah, but I don't know if that's really right. Speaking of which, I'm having Wegman's Seasoned Brown Rice and Quinoa out of a packet with half a bag of peas for lunch right now.
  14. I can understand that, you root for your local minor league team and then hope those guys do well when they move up. There are a lot of Sens fans around Binghamton that used to be Rangers fans.
  15. I used to live across the street from these guys, looks like I have some more cans to try, the Phoenix Pale ale and Route 113 IPA are really good, the Weiss is good. http://www.slyfoxbeer.com/index.php/front/beer_packaged
  16. Nigeria was initially wary, as the US asked that Nigeria send them a small sum of money to cover the airfare and wire transfer fees before sending the team. ;)
  17. The ones from Jan 2013?
  18. It's not that bad, cut the cable cord a couple years ago. If I didn't work from home a few days a week, I'd consider going phone-only.
  19. Double IPA, porters, stouts. :) In all seriousness, I tend to drink more German-style Hefewizen or Saison in the summer, but not at all exclusively. Victory's Mad King and Sunrise are both good examples of the former, Swing Saison is a nice session beer.
  20. Fun fact: the rhythm of the song "YYZ" is the Morse code for "YYZ". Mind: [kaboom!]
  21. Yep, had a dude point them out to me randomly on the street. They're seeding the atmosphere with something to make the population docile.
  22. 1001001? That's "I". You're thinking 1010011 1001111 1010011.
  23. I wonder if the price is coming down, I picked up a 12oz x 24 case last month for $45 at my local brew-thru. It's my wife's very favorite beer, she was jealous when I brought it home.
  24. I have no doubts: last night I was working on my bike, and within a few minutes I had videos of how to disassemble things (that weren't in the two manuals I have for the bike), and with one email to my club list, 6-8 suggestions on how best to repair the parts. And that's not to mention that my wife can't fathom how much less informed she'd be about the kid on the way. Nope, like anything else the internet is a tool that I have to be careful with, but it makes things *way* better most of the time.
  25. BetweenThePipes? 00? You're not fooling anyone, Marty. Welcome back!
