    I remember that comment too. I think it was after he did defend someone. Someone asked if it was going to happen more often, to which he replied with the "we've got guys" comment. I bet if you excavate the Stafford thread there'll be more detail; I remember a few posters going nuts over the comment.

    Seems like this happened last year at some point. The Bills played at 1, the Sabres at 3. I was pleasantly surprised the WGR/Tunein stream had the Sabres on even though the Bills would have been on the real radio. For those that haven't tried it, the WGR stream is blacked out/alternate programming when the Bills are on. EDIT: December 29th, 2013 Bills/Pats at 4:25pm, Sabres/Caps at 5pm.

    The other day I put on 1975 Flyers/Sabres Game 6 (it's in the classic section on Gamecenter). One thing that stood out for me was the passing wasn't that great, lots of pucks off sticks and just plain bad passes.

    I'll miss both of them, but I'll meet up at Eleven's choice of sports bar when I get into town (warning: it'll be 1AM). I'd prefer to listen to the Bills on the way up, but the NFL are ###### about mobile streaming radio so I'm stuck hunting through central PA radio to find the game. I might just say screw it and listen to the Sabres on my phone.

    Nah, gotta introduce some strategery in there. Rochambeau Channel would be awesome, as long as they cover both the Rock-Paper-Scissors AND RPS-Lizard-Spock leagues.

    I suspect he means the president says "I want this" and someone in Congress writes up a bill and submits it. Pretty how much politics have always worked as far as I can tell.

    It's the sharp part of the curve there though, if I'm reading it right if the Sabres net 65 points out of the remaining 65 games, they're 66% chance to finish last. If they net 67 points (one extra win), they're 51%. Plus, I think this data is based on historical seasons. This season will be different as the CHL will likely heat up towards the end. 60 points is normally 99% to finish last; I'd bet there will be at least 2-3 teams in the 50s this year. I don't know if I can go all the way to April (when mathematically applies) before I start drinking while watching this team.

    And there's the completion of the troll. It's nice to see one wrapped up all 30-minute-sitcom-style in a single reading. No, no one should have to defend Myers against silly comparisons but there's only one reason we're discussing it.

    It's interesting the dilemma on this game if you're pro-tank. You have to balance out what you think where these teams will be at the end of the year. If you figure St. Louis ends up at the #20 pick, you're OK with the Blues winning this one as 2 points won't matter much (difference between picks 18-22 is still in maybe "they'll be good territory"). If you think the Blues have a chance at a lottery pick, you want the Sabres to win. On the flip side, if you think the Sabres are irrevocably at the bottom of the league a win here is fine since it hurts the Blues. If you think there's a chance the Sabres will see some competition at the bottom, the risk of 2 points is too great. Personally, I treat this like almost any other game: "woo, they won!" if the Sabres win, and "eh, CHL leaders" if they don't. OT wouldn't be any fun.

    Maybe not an agenda, I suppose it could just be Fox news being incompetent and reporting this sotry until now too. I'm sorry, you can only get outraged about this if you're already on one side or the other. Both parties continuously lie and hold the electorate in contempt as standard operating practice. One party seems to be a lot better at it though.

    In a recent example, John McCain was born in Panama (not that was President, of course, but it would have looked pretty silly to have elected him and then, "oops!").

    I agree, he's ending the Toronto series so he can move play-off games up there! Somehow, I doubt the NFL pays attention to anything other than itself when scheduling games.

    I do believe GG is the "#2 in the 1-2 punch" according to the article. :) I haven't made the drive to Buffalo to try them, so I'll have to keep wondering. And Mea Culpa on the ordering...
