  1. Man, saving my #ArmiaOne #ArmiaTwo jokes in GDTs for Joel's Goals seems silly now.
  2. 1156. Maybe Stafford will Moulson in the off-season!
  3. I assume 11 will chime in when he's done doing his happy dance. Seems like a little more than what I'd have given up, but we'll see. It's a big gamble almost solely based on if Kane hated the team in Winnipeg or hates being on a team.
  4. I forget where, but it's within the first 8-9 minutes.
  5. I considered it too. I do wear watches from time to time, and the ring bothered me for awhile but I got used to it. It helps that I'm not "worried" about it, it's Tungsten Carbide and cost $18 on Amazon. It does seem to be un-scratchable and I haven't chipped it yet even working on cars, around the house, and knocking it against stuff at work. If I do, I'll just buy another. Maybe this (I can get away with it, I never need to attract a woman again :)): http://www.amazon.com/Kstyle-Jewelry-Tungsten-Black-Gold/dp/B00QISBTWG/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1423664430&sr=8-13&keywords=tungsten+lord+of+the+rings I never equated the two, my Dad never wore his ring; he worked at the Big-G downtown and saw too many lost fingers when rings got trapped in machinery. But my wife was adamant that I would wear a ring. I resisted it, but in the end I got used to it.
  6. Better question: which is Rammer and which is Ramsie, even if Ramsie sounds the same as their real name!
  7. I found this the yesterday linked to the Sabres-Senators brawl. 30 minutes of old fights, and it looks like there's a three more of 30 minutes each.
  8. That year, if I remember right, the NHL required white ice to border the red so it's easier to see icing and 2-line passes. If you put the images on two tabs a switch between them it's easier to see.
  9. There's a lot we don't know, but to sum up: - Zadorow would be in London if not for the KHL stuff - He has played reasonably well for the Sabres so he's a top-4 on this team - I don't think he'd be top-4 on many other teams - He might be getting the time here since there's no point in keeping him here and scratching him every night - The bottom half of Buffalo's D seems to rotate in and out at random, so it's probably fair to say they're all close enough to throw a net over -- Or, Nolan is just playing "In this crap season, everyone gets a turn"; I think if the Sabres were on the bubble the line-up would be more static as "win win win" would be the primary thought
  10. I don't think I can justify watching that long of a video at work. Does it show lots of fried fish? This one, however, I can totally justify. :)
  11. I'm not sure I'd go that far. I 100% agree those guys are NHL defense calibre, top-4 on many teams.. But it's foolhardy to say those three are better than all the other D in the league (Chara, S Weber, Ekblad, Karlsson, etc.).
  12. Hey-ooo. On a side note, you need to hit the "light switch" icon on the top left of the reply tool bar to use BBcode to break apart quotes.
  13. For what it's worth, I'd guess that most reasonable trades that involve Myers will be one young player (who has been playing the NHL but doesn't have a ton of work to "ensure" he'll be an NHL regular (worst case: Lieno)) and a bunch of, as you'd call them, question marks. So are you now saying that the quantity argument has merit? As for E. Kane, maybe he does need a change of scenery but if he really is a gigantic disruption in the locker room and never plays to his potential, you've now given up assets AND have him hanging around 3 more years. don't get me wrong, I won't be upset if GMTM takes the gamble (depending on what goes the other way), but it IS a GAMBLE, which could set the team back.
  14. Exactly. From what I read here (and trust), even first rounders (outside the top 5 or so picks) are 50/50 to have a meaningful career. So having a lot of picks still means (hopefully) half of them hit and you still have more hits than the other teams we're talking about. That's the point of loading up on picks. And maybe somewhere down the road you trade one of those mid-level hits and some other stuff for a borderline 1/2 liner or #2 D that you need. The Sabres are got a "can't miss" (evershot ;)) pick last year and another top-5 this year, plus they'll have extra 50/50 (1st round) picks. Sure, some of those might miss and this might go up in flames, and some traded players (I'm looking at you Hodgson) go down in flames too. Picking up more assets just gives the team more capital to spend.
  15. The two Tycoon players on the front page look decidedly non-Asian. I wonder if they have caps on the number of foreign players per team.
  16. Can we put an OT on this one? :)
  17. I don't know about prefer, but I certainly don't mind the darks. I'd have to rank them darks/royal blue, Goatheads, the royal blue 3rds with the Pepsi script, the red Balckhawk-alike 3rds, turds, then slugs.
  18. Nobody was into them before me! (That reminds me, I still owe him a beer for turning me onto them.)
  19. I didn't articulate it well, but I was actually thinking a lot about maturity when I said "not ready for the NHL". It's a lot clearer when you say it. :) That being said, I don't see him as part of a trade yet.
  20. I get the feeling that the Coaching Staff/GMTM doesn't really think Zadorov is ready the NHL but due to the whole KHL thing they're "stuck" with him. He seems to get sat more often than his play would dictate.
  21. Spelling out Connor McDavid in ASCII is a nice touch. :)
  22. Indeed. Ideally April 1st cements the Laffs in the playoffs AND Buffalo in last place.
  23. Delayed? As in developmental? As mentioned above, don't feel the need to answer anything you don't feel like, but as the father of a 5.5 month old, I'm really curious. For the second comment, my sarcasm meter is twitching, but it goes to my first question. What kind of baby was she? Active, happy, sleepy, etc.? RosePie seems a bit behind in physical progress (she's as bad at doing pushups as her old man), but her mental progress seems good. She's been making eye contact since day one and smiling before most people would believe us.
  24. In all seriousness, it comes down to something we as fans can't really know: how the Goalies feel about resigning. From the looks of it, the Sabres aren't going to get anything incredible for either (maybe a 2nd round pick), so the value of trading them is probably less than the value to the team if they can be signed. If they tell the mgt. that they're not signing, trade them and let the chips fall where they may. If one will sign, do it for 2-4 years on the cheap. Trade the other or let him walk. Then, hope of the kids eventually takes over the reigns and/or sign someone in the offseason.
  25. It not impossible that we'll be talking about how there's only 2 players on the Sabres that were on the 2012-13 team in a year or two. But then again, the Sabres are a farm team right now.
