It's been going back a few years, at least for backups.

There are going to be a whole generation of goalies that can say, "my first game/win/turning point was against the Buffalo Sabres" "hey, mine too!".

I think we're a little close to the question, so it seems obvious to us. Most people in NYC don't know where Buffalo is, or that they have a hockey team. For $200, which MLS (Soccer) team features a pair of elephants on the front of their jersey? That being said, most of the times I saw Cash Cab, I'd ace it, but once in awhile I miss all of them.

The anti-stats folks hate the concept that "hits" aren't necessarily a good thing, because in order to make a hit you by definition don't have the puck (same for blocked shots). It's easy to say, "well that's stupid, of course hits are good", but the logic is there. As with many things, you shouldn't look at the raw numbers since those are easy to skew. Raw Blocked shots isn't a useful as, say, percent of shots blocked while player X is on the ice crossed with TOI, but the the anti-stats folks are still stuck on "blocked shots ARE always good!". I'll take the guy that blocks 2 of 4 shots while it's on the ice vs the guy who blocks 5 of 10 in the same amount of time. I'm an engineer, I like to think that most of the physical world can be described by math in one form or another. Sometimes we don't understand the math or even know what to measure, but I really do think there are more ways to measure hockey than just goals and "that guy looks good tonight".

GCL: the other day my PS3 GC was doing exactly what you were talking about, although it kept making me log back into Playstation Network so I chalked it up to that. As for "as many devices, etc." I never thought to look, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't a case that you can watch on any device anywhere, but not more than one device at a time.

Cow Lilly? It doesn't abbreviate to CH, this thread has jumped the shark. It was good to see Corcorov Hodgivnikov mixing it up a bit last week.

I love the idea, but you have it backwards: the 2.71s have two games out of hand on the Sabres.

It was mentioned on the radio that "things will get started at 7PM", so they're going to fill an hour with something. That might count the local pre-game show, though.

My advanced stats tell me it's only bad for 10% of the players on the field at the time, although you can argue how much each player is involved.

Get them repaired? I'm sure there's a cobbler somewhere in Rochester. It'll be an old guy that's been repairing shoes since he was 13 during the depression or a tattooed hipster.

3 F'N not on GameCenter games for me in a row (Sunday, Tuesday, NBCSN, today it's local TV blackout). It's cold out, I need to watch me some Sabres.

Why would you think that fancy DVR (or plain digital cable box) under your TV isn't reporting the same info back? The only way you're not contributing to recorded viewing habits is if you're watching over the air or on an SD TV using the tuner.

Didn't you just posting that no one will call Pegula out at all in a last couple days? -
Buffalo Ranked #3 in No-Trade Clause Cities

Case in point, I know a bunch of the Flyers (Danny and Biron in the past) lived in CAMDEN NJ, since the practice facility is over on that side of the river. There's no way you can make an argument that Camden is more attractive* than Buffalo. * Well, I will say that the Camden waterfront is turning around in a gentrification move, I assume it's a lot cheaper than downtown Philly and only a 3/4 mile ride across the Ben Franklin Bridge. -
Or, it says what Winnipeg thought of Grigorenko and Armia is there. :)

I don't doubt it now, and with Buffalo's reputation around the US. Hopefully when the Sabres are "good" (or great) that'll outweight the negatives and folks will see that Buffalo really isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Especially for these guys, I doubt they're shoveling their own snow before work which is really the major down-side. -
I think you're treading on thin ice on this one. Housekeeping and hygiene gifts are dangerous, no matter how helpful or sensible they may be.

It blows off at 80.

For awhile I was eating yams a lot. I found sriracha or bbq sauce is good on them.

Nice. Family was up in Lake Placid two weeks ago (saw -12 F on the car thermometer) and even the teens that we're getting here are fine. I almost went back for a lighter jacket this morning when I went outside. It's 26 and sunny. While I think in F too, there is a logic to relating C to outside temperatures. 0-10 C (32-50 F) = cold (for most people), 10-20 C (50-68 F) = cool, 20-30 C (68-86 F) warm, 30-40 C (86-104 F) = hot, 40+ = really F'N hot, like Africa hot. 50+ C (122+ F) = not fit for humans. :)

He's not even here and you're putting him with Kane and Stewart on the wings?

And both usernames start with "J" and are car-themed. I tend to get them mixed up too. Actually, at 25 years 1990 can get antique plates. If I were forced to drive own, I'd totally get antique plates for a 1990 Cavalier.

I would have thought Halifaxers. Or Halifaxmachines.
