It's been a LONG time since I've seen that episode, but isn't that car based entirely on Homer's whims? That would be the opposite of designing by committee. As for a jersey design, I can't decide between bitchin' flames or boss stripes. Any thoughts?

No no, those 11 million people are the wrong kind of people. "We" should just keep doing what we're doing.

Mash up some avocado, sherry vinegar, and sardines and put it on a hearty toast. The main problem with this recipe is it makes a ton and avocado doesn't keep very well. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/sherried-sardine-toast-recipe.html Barring that, sardines and oil make a halfway decent salad dressing on their own.

To follow your Potter analogy, SNolanpe wouldn't have even played Potter against Voldemort; he'd have tapped Neville because he's really been putting in the effort.

As long as "today's" means at least the last 20 years, then sure. I remember seeing the same thing when Ray would hit people.

Um, Ovechkin? Do I have to link the "controller disconnected" video? -

I'm kinda sad that we're not going to make it to the Philly Flower Show this year; I got pretty lit at the PA Liquor Store free sampling corral. They had at least a dozen whiskeys to try, and at least twice that many other liquors on top of that. http://www.phillymag.com/foobooz/2015/02/27/food-try-philadelphia-flower-show/ "Fine Wine & Good Spirits Store When you just can't take anymore flowers, check out the tastings that will be held here, as well as the on-site store. You can also catch some celebrity appearances, like Ethan Wayne signing bottles of Duke Bourbon on February 28 and Dan Aykroyd and his Crystal Skull Vodka on March 6."

People that change a meeting to "remote only due to weather" 15 minutes before the meeting. Hint: I've been in the car for at least 30 minutes when you sent that.

We got around 8" that blew around some. My WRX was a champ though, right into my driveway despite plowing snow to the sides.

The main problem with using the "pull the ball, look at the logo on it" system is the set of percentages that the NHL is using doesn't lend itself to it. Actually, this year's odds look a bit easier: EDIT: Ooof, that's supposed to be a table. first number is the lottery position, second is the 2015 odds and the second number is the 2014 odds. 1 20.00% 25.00% 2 13.50% 18.80% 3 11.50% 14.20% 4 9.50% 10.70% 5 8.50% 8.10% 6 7.50% 6.20% 7 6.50% 4.70% 8 6.00% 3.60% 9 5.00% 2.70% 10 3.50% 2.10% 11 3.00% 1.50% 12 2.50% 1.10% 13 2.00% 0.80% 14 1.00% 0.50% So this year, each ball would count for 0.50%, so there would have be 200 balls in the machine (40 for #30, 72 for #29, etc.). It's entirely possible you can't buy a certified random machine that handles that many balls (ooo, er), or the NHL hasn't thought it. From the looks of it, the previous system would require balls for each 0.10% so you'd have 250 for #30, 188 for #29, etc. and a total of 1000 balls. I think the current system picks a 4 (?) digit number, and numbers are randomly assigned numbers for the list to teams. If it is 4, the Sabres have 2000 numbers assigned to them (20%), and so on. Someone else mentioned that they could show the numbers being picked and people could be ooo-ing and ahhh-ing if they're still in the race. You'd have to either block out numbers (0-1999 are #1, 2000-3350 are #2, etc.) but the first ball could eliminate or confirm a lot of teams that way. I think the only way televising this works is you start with a list of all fourteen teams on-screen. After the first ball, the computer removes the teams that can't win based on the possible numbers remaining. Actually, that doesn't sound so bad. For #30, one of five numbers are in play so odds are they'd make it through at least 2 balls before getting eliminated.

I think you don't see big cities on this list because of the diversity. The data is percentage, so there are likely more people tuning into Rangers or Blackhawks games than Sabres games. OKC for golf is a strange one, unless you figure that Oklahomans probably like sports where WASPs dominate. :)

You're doing it wrong (although with a first name like Brock, I can see why): BOESER!

I get what you're saying, but the Sabres Center depth right now (in not exact order): Reinhart, Girgensons, Grigorenko, Ennis*, Hodgson*, McCormick. If you add #1-2 pick this year, that goes to the front of the line. Starred players probably don't end up playing center, but they are there. In any case, we have 4-5 NHL Centers (maybe you upgrade CodyMc in FA, and maybe Grigs busts). If there's a center later in the first that you think will make a good winger, maybe. Otherwise I'd be on the looking for RW, since the cupboard is pretty bare there.

NPR was talking about gene therapy last night. I didn't really catch all of it due to the crappy driving, but from the sounds of it gene therapy may turn some things on their heads. The main issue they were talking about was how to charge for them. They're really expensive right now but cheap to make. There was talk of a subscription model where you pay a fixed price as long as the treatment keeps working. Interesting angle is it "pays" for the drug company to do a good job, since you'll be paying more the longer it works.

I think the Sabres use a pick on Sam Reinhart for that second center. ;)

You too, I'm not sure how far west the snow spreads, but it's ugly here near Philly.

23-man roster predictions for 2015-16 season
MattPie replied to PalmTreeMafia's topic in The Aud Club
Do any teams' 3-4 lines score that many? I don't have time to run the numbers, but even 40 goals means those six guys average 6+ goals each. That seems high to me especially when you probably have 2-3 guys that only pick up 2-3 goals each. -
Suck it up and stream to your phone like adults. :) You'd be surprised how quickly streams add up to choke business-type internet connections. But d4rk may be right, it could certainly be malware. Heh, I was thinking about this just the other day.

The question shouldn't be, "are you happy with this", but "why are you upset with this"? That looks like it has a shot at a solid group young guys. If you want more than "looks like", you probably shouldn't be worried about sports since there a no (few?) sure things. And getting lodged in his butt?

You pretty much summed up my rooting hierarchy and reasons.
