I think you're dreaming, really. I don't see anyone trading out of 1/2. Ever. Especially if you're talking about the 2016 draft that even if you go 0-82, you still have a 40% chance of picking 4th.

Eh, he's two years older and has 49 less points (though 7 more goals). I'm not too worried. :) What I am worried about is there's apparently a "State of New England" that I had no knowledge of.

I wasn't watching that closely, Nolan said there were three guys (forwards, I assume) that didn't play much because they didn't earn it. Since I assume Grigs wasn't one of them, who didn't play towards the end? Nolan: “The work is never a concern, but the lack of experience hurts you especially when you are playing against experienced teams, you need everybody and we didn’t have everybody tonight. We went down to three lines and three guys didn’t play, didn’t deserve to play, and didn’t warrant any ice time.”

Still silly. :) Essentially, you're saying, "I didn't get Crosby? Well, screw it, I don't want Stamkos*, I'll trade that pick for Kessel and nuVanek." * I don't know that Stamkos is the right guy for the comparison, but that's the caliber of player at worst.

So I mentioned this thread to my wife (her quote: "How Mom-advice* of them"), and when I said Bodhi she replied, "like the tree in India? And she's of Indian descent? That's not weird at all." * Mom-advice is a group on FB that Mom's get together and discuss current events, babies, names, food, etc. Think of it like SabreSpace, but with the opposite gender skew.

I know plenty of kids of non-celebrities that have goofy names too. It's just a thing some people do. If you're going to restaurants where (and when) parents are comfortable bringing their kids, you're doing "being young" wrong. :) I know I guy named North, it's a great name. He comes by it honestly though, with a very common Swedish last name.

Paetsch used to play Wing and D. I remember reading after he was gone that the coach asked him, "Hey,. can you play wing? I don't have a place for D but I need a winger." to which Paetsch said, "Sure coach!". He hadn't played wing since midget or something. Guys will say anything to get ice time. There's some OK areas (the western part that isn't befouled by NYC), but yeah large swaths are pretty useless. -
The main problem with O'Reilly is he shoots left, which as I understand it means he'd fit better on the LW. We have a lot of LW but very few RW.

I attended for 5 years and two bachelors' degrees, but I still feel guilty as I didn't attend a single sporting event while I was there. -

He doesn't seem like 1st line though, is he? I'm with the other posters, he'd be nice if at the end of next year we weren't having a contract fight looking for Toews money for 2nd (or 3rd!) line performance.

He's aware of what's going on, so it's like the Ligenberg Uncertainty Principle. You can't observe the phenomenon without affecting it. Actually, that's not entirely right (the LUP is that we can't know Liger's postiion and velocity at the same time) but I can't not use that name because it's cracking me up.

Nice. In Pierre mode if Foligno played goal, "DRRRIIIIIIIVEEEE! and Foligno says NO!" has a nice rhythm to it.
