Shouldn't it have been a German car? So many questions.

Hopefully there's a 1% margin of error in there. :)

When was the last time the league expected Buffalo to be good?

So what's the negative for the board? They make a dangerous decision and the two outcomes are: they get away with it and profit, or the company gets sued, they get fired, and receive their fat parachute compensation for driving the company into the ground. After a year or two they repeat the process. It's a sticky situation trying to figure out who knew and who was criminally negligent, but we can't just go with "it'll hurt them in the pocketbook". Getting back to Chip and Bob from a couple days ago: the point (to me) wasn't that you give Chip (the rich guy) or Bob (the fry cook) $100. We should be talking about giving Chip $1000 in tax cuts or 10 Bobs $100 each. Those 10 Bobs are going to spend every penny locally, Chip might dump that money into a wristwatch or the East-Asia Fund in his IRA. To go a step further, the owner of that McD's, Tina, gets a corporate tax cut of $10000 on her business. She's not going to run out and hire a new worker if the current staff is doing the job. While she might lower prices (although I have a tough time seeing that), she's going to take that as a bonus to herself and she's in the same situation as Chip: she can spend that money anywhere. Maybe she'll put that money back into the business by buying an automated fry making machine and fire Bob.

Sorrentino's is closed, there's a sports bar in the location. My parents are livid, they can't understand why someone would do that to them. :) They tried it but said it wasn't good but I can't say for myself. My wife is from South Wales so her's is a Pasquale's family so that's what I've had for the last bunch of EA pizza. Sad thing is, I'll probably always remember the number for Sorrentino's: 655-4646. Yeah, I've given up on finding great wings around here but I don't want to deal with the mess of making my own. Once in awhile I get BBQ or some other odd flavor wing so I'm not comparing them to true Buffalo style the whole time. Fried scrapple is pretty popular around here. It's almost the same thing. :)

Sabres Cap Situation Sticky Again Next Season- Youth vs. Cap Floor
MattPie replied to dejeanneret's topic in The Aud Club
Isn't Lucic a LW? As was discussed in the other thread, if he were a RW he'd be intriguing. As a LW, I'm not sure you give up much with the Sabres current list of lefties.- 48 replies

Anyone see this concept jersey design before?
MattPie replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Aud Club
With no slug and a more traditional buffalo, I don't hate them. As is: oh no. No, no, no no no... no, no no. -
Thanks Obama.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but there's something to be said for a player that can feed off other good players. Like good centers. Buffalo has a fwe of those in the pipeline, right?

Strachan wasn't bad when he skated with Myers, but I don't know if that was wonder-twin synergy or a glimpse into his potential. I guess the real question is: does he beat out Mike Weber for 3rd pair tough guy?

I don't think it's a terrible idea, as long as it's reversible. However, the Libertarians and Conservatives would like flip the #### out about government-forced sterilization. Actually, I think everyone might flip out, and rightfully so. It's a slippery slope to sterilization of "undesirables". Maybe a government freebie would be a better tack: "Two kids and on assistance? Get snipped for free and collect a $50/week bonus."

Just in: Enroth: Sabres' "goal was to come last, he says dry with a shrug"
MattPie replied to Stoner's topic in The Aud Club
You're welcome to the the name I was going to use if I had a boy: Torque Ripcord. -
It was in the playoffs the last time I saw, possibly going in the Sabres favor. I'm thinking pre-2004-lockout though.
-
I was curious, so looking at the last 6 years (wikipedia before that isn't listing playoff rosters well for the teams) there's a former Sabres' name on the winning roster 4 times of the 6 (Satan, Campbell, Paille, and Regher). For the two missed years (2012 and 2013), Bernier, Tallinder, and Zubrus in 2012, and Paille in 2013 played for the losing SCF team. So a former Sabre in the finals each year. All going by "playoff" roster, it's possible some (Tallider) didn't actually play in the SCF.

I have a question (not directed at you, King of Semolina), does welfare/Wic/etc. cover the cost of birth control (be that condoms, the pill, etc.)?

Hey, slow your roll there. He might have been making assumptions about ME and MY close-mindedness. :)

Gee, I wonder who will "win" when schools fight it out and some schools get to pick and choose which students they accept and the other is left with the rest. And I'm not sure what you're saying with the pinnacle statement, but the US is certainly not the best in the world. And I doubt funnelling public money into private schools via vouchers is going to help matters at all. On an unrealted note, I recently heard a story about the German school system. At the end of 4th grade (9-years-old), kids are classified into groups based on their progress. The groups break down into College-bound, not-college bound (trades), and in-between. That seems crazy to me (and to be fair, parents don't have to comply with the classification, even though most do). I can't imagine that working here, no-one would put their kids in anything but the top group unless forced.

Who is he playing for these days? He was always a fun interview when he was with the Sabres.

I don't know how many Indians are vegan, there's a lot of dairy in the Indian food I've had. Vegetarian is pretty common though.

He was picked by Darcy, duh! Never mind that he's a big scoring forward.

Realm of possibility? Not, it's not out. But I don't think it's likely. At 20 goals, Tyler Ennis is tied around 90th in goals in the NHL. On average, that means he'd be a borderline top-3 forward in the NHL (30 teams * 3 players). 4 or 5 players above 20 goals isn't impossible, but the Sabres will be having a pretty good year (way better than I expect) if they have 4-5 guys that are scoring on pace to be a top-3 guy on an NHL team.

The horror.

I agree, but every team was in the lottery before, just that if you were worse than #5 you couldn't truly "win", as in get the first pick.

I don't know that anyone is calling you on you opinion per se, but you pervasive this must be posted in every thread regardless if we're talking about TP.
