  1. 5 of the 7 are scheduled to be on NBC (not SN), that's pretty awesome for me, since I don't have cable.
  2. To follow up, in 2010 Milwaukee had 8 instances of 3-games-in-3-nights on the schedule (it happened to pop up in the search at the top). the blog post mentioned that AHL teams often pack as many games as possible onto the weekend to get better crowds. http://admiralsroundtable.com/2010/10/21/managing-three-games-in-three-nights/
  3. This post is so good I wish I could lick it.
  4. The AHL also does 2-3-2 format, and I *think*, 3 games in 3 days during the regular season. I have to think that playoff format is cost-related.
  5. Philly City Hall:
  6. I agree. Or at the very least, the ability to completely disable the smarts.
  7. There once was a lady from Nantucket... EDIT: Now that I think about it, this thread should only allow replies that include poems. Ideally, all replies would be in poems. In poems, all replies Filter through my digital window on the world. Bring joy, frustration, and comtemplation to a dreary, rainy day. Some of the people in the machine are closer than my family. Maybe there's a sadness in that. Maybe I should log out.
  8. Indeed you are. I was a unicorn: a person under 40 with a pension from a private company until last year. We still get some of it, but not the "whole" deal we were promised.
  9. Or a garbage plate I've never managed to do a crossover, either on ice or inlines. :)
  10. I now know it feels like when the newbies come here and have no clue what you're talking about.
  11. That is really the secret: smart TVs aren't. Someone figured out they could stuff what amounts to a low-end phone into a TV and make it a selling point. But 6 months after they build it, they stop supporting it so it eventually stops working with online services as they never update the included apps. It's not unlike phones, except that app support on phones generally works for a few years because you're not relying on the phone manufacturer to update it. The main issue is TVs have a longer service life than phones (my current TV was purchased the day before the Winter Classic in Buffalo, 7 years ago).
  12. Not being as smart as the other regular posters never stopped me from posting, don't let it stop you! For a minute there, I thought you were talking about FIRE LINDY RUFF NOW. (there's an inside/years ago/obscure reference for everyone)
  13. My wife (and I) love Deschutes. It was her go-to beer when she lived in Oregon. It's started showing up around here lately, the Obsidian Stout and Fresh-squeezed IPA are fantastic.
  14. When was the last time it worked, and what error does it give?
  15. Yeah, that's what I do when the Bartender shoots me down, too.
  16. Bold: In this case, you voiced the opinion that the other posters here suck. That might be why you were "attacked". I-talics: the last season or two: sure. Although the Tank thread was like 100000 posts or something.
  17. Very likely it's either an issue with Netflix entirely or Netflix updated something and the app on the TV no longer understand each other. Does Netflix work on another device in your house (on the same network)?
  18. I forgot about that thread too. I see his brother Mark played in the Swiss league for awhile after Buffalo.
  19. You, sir, are slang for male genitalia for getting my hopes up.
  20. Maybe he has an extensive block list.
  21. Some people call me the Gangster of Love.
  22. You're correct, the odds would re-jigger themselves when teams ahead of the Sabres win. Good catch.
  23. Oh, I have a doozy for Thursday. I can hardly wait.
  24. I expect that it'll exist, but it'll be on the "eating cat food for dinner" level of benefit. I'm 38 though, so I'm outside you're window. :)
  25. On Netflix????
