Bold: In this case, you voiced the opinion that the other posters here suck. That might be why you were "attacked". I-talics: the last season or two: sure. Although the Tank thread was like 100000 posts or something.

Very likely it's either an issue with Netflix entirely or Netflix updated something and the app on the TV no longer understand each other. Does Netflix work on another device in your house (on the same network)?
-
I forgot about that thread too. I see his brother Mark played in the Swiss league for awhile after Buffalo.

You, sir, are slang for male genitalia for getting my hopes up.

Maybe he has an extensive block list.

Some people call me the Gangster of Love. -
You're correct, the odds would re-jigger themselves when teams ahead of the Sabres win. Good catch.

Oh, I have a doozy for Thursday. I can hardly wait.

I expect that it'll exist, but it'll be on the "eating cat food for dinner" level of benefit. I'm 38 though, so I'm outside you're window. :)

It's really one in the same, innit? :) Good post. The story I remember is he was buried in a cave, behind a large rock. After three days, they moved the rock and the body was gone. I haven't studied it (at all), but that's a little different than what you're saying. And as for "go ask someone that was there", hearsay is a tough one to believe in, as is mob psychology. Come on, that was a good post. :)

Better question: did they sell beer at the games?

"Good" chance might be stretching things. but true. Let's say Buffalo finishes with the #8 pick, the odds that they pick in the top 3 are 18% (3 * 6%, right?). Those are almost the same chance that we got McDavid, which is to say, not very likely.

Just wondering: any chance there's an epub version of the book? I'm going to read it, but I'd love to be able to use my reader instead of the tablet or computer. On my Dad's side, my grandfather tried to enlist a few times but was rejected due to a heart condition. Either my great aunt or grandmother worked in the Curtiss (??) factory in Buffalo on planes. (They're both Helen Pie, so I need to verify which one it was). I think my parents still have the aluminium soldering/welding kit in a green toolbox stamped with the name somewhere. I don't know what my mom's side of the family did, I'll have to ask my mom next time she's here.

The OT angle is a good one; for arguing that there shouldn't be back-to-back games. Are you saying that it wouldn't make for some terrible hockey if, after playing that 2 or 3 OT game they had to come back and play the next night? Plus, it's not like hockey happens in a vacuum. The arenas are booked for other stuff and the NHL can't just waltz in and say, "Concert X with 25000 tickets sold? sorry, we need the arena that night!". Rush is playing the United Center on the 12th (Friday). There are games on both Saturdays. HNIC, anyone?

5 Burning Questions, Dicso Dan Bylsma Edition 5/29/15
MattPie replied to X. Benedict's topic in The Aud Club
1: Will: seems like it. Should? Maybe. In terms of local support and whatnot Buffalo is great, but a larger, more central city (like Chicago) might be better for USA hockey in the long run. 2: HCDDB 3: 4 4: 20% 5: Normally I'd put GoDD, but he's over the moon with this choice. Actually, I'll put down GoDD, *because* he's over the moon with this choice. :)- 43 replies

I've never met a girl who liked Rush... Suspicions again raised! :) I sat on the floor in Buffalo during the Counterparts tour (i think). Great show, but I'm not a huge Rush fan.

Players not going to college isn't a big deal as you point out, since that covers all the players that come out of Canadian Juniors. But, IMHO, you're making it sound like a completely normal path he's taking, but I can't think of a single player that has taken in the play in the US as a high-schooler and then go to Europe route. The closest I can think of is Zemgus, but that's the other way around. I'm not saying it's a bad path, just an unusual one. So his options are: Play in the CHL with Everett (who hold his rights), play NCAA somewhere for a year (see: Eichel, etc.), or play in Europe, right? I assume he could play in the AHL (not that that will happen) after he's drafted since he's not beholden to the CHL agreement.

I don't know what I'd do with my day if not for this place. Oh right, be more productive.

"Will you sign the damn contract so I can get back to scouting?" -
Good point. I just looked to see if you signed up just after the Boyes trade. :)

Welcome to you too! I'm not sure what the intro song thread is doing to pull new users out of the woodwork, but it's good.

Ugh. I'm in the right time-frame to like VH, but man do I not like that band. Welcome to the board BTW.

So when was the last time that was true? Bowman for sure, but after that?
