  1. Ah. I feel you, in PA the beer distributors have a stranglehold as well and until recently you couldn't buy beer at grocery stores, only cases at distributors or 2 6-packs at delis and bars. The breweries may take a page out of Wegman's book: they did whatever they had to to make the in-store cafe a "restaurant" so they can sell 6-packs there. On the bright side, you can have a beer with your Wegmans sub too. In their case, set up a space in the brewery and "rent" it to another entity as restaurant space.
  2. Sadly, not Kim Davis.
  3. I know Owego NY does it that way. I don't get a sewage bill, so I can't say.
  4. Forget it, he's pizza rolling.
  5. I overseeded my grass in two stages over the last month and a half. And because it rained once over that time period, my water bill is up $100 from having sprinklers going almost all the time (not to mention buying sprinklers). Now we're getting inches of rain, I suppose I should thank my lucky stars the grass is probably established enough that the rain won't wash it away. My Father-in-Law was complaining the last time I was up there that every time he opens Facebook, it starts at Selena Gomez's FB page and his computer guy couldn't figure out why. Score one for the Son-in-Law, I noticed the shortcut on the desktop had a link to the SG page instead of facebook.com. After being the hero, I set his shortcut to Pandora to always start with Selena Gomez. I'm sure it it'd work, but Victory has a small store in the brewery where you can buy cases. I'm confused by the wording, does the law say you can't include beer "sales" in the tour price or that you can't sell beer? It seems like the former to me, which doesn't seem like a big deal. Have a tour, offer a free tasting flight as part of it (or not), and they have a cash-bar/case store that people can buy from.
  6. I'll bow to your semi-direct knowledge, as I haven't researched it in any way. I did see the documentary (Food Inc?) that had a lengthy section on a farmer that claimed he had never bought montsano seeds but has been sued into submission. That may well be an isolated case.
  7. As long as "lose on purpose" means "not mortgage the future and build up draft picks", I couldn't disagree more. I think Arizona is going to be bad this year, they know it, and they're doing exactly what the Sabres did in the same situation last year to fix it: nothing. They hope to draft high and then build next year.
  8. For me, it's part wariness of GMO being unhealthy, but also creating a crop mono-culture. If everyone is slowly being forced to use Montsano seeds*, if something comes along that wipes out that crop, either by weakness from the GMO makeup or chance, we're screwed. If everyone is using "natural" seeds with variations, some may be resistant to whatever blight comes along so there will be something left. The second part is I'd bet a bunch that GMOs aren't being modified for taste or health benefits, but only for longevity and pest resistance. Those are noble goals, I suppose, but putting a nation's health at risk to reduce spoilage isn't a trade off I'm willing to make. * From what I understand and someone above alluded to, Montsano is very aggressive in prosecuting farmers that do not buy Montsano seeds but their patented gene sequences shop up in the crops. That can happen in a number natual of ways like wind, shared machinery, etc., but Montsano sues anyway. For many farmers, the risk to being sued into bankruptcy is too much and they just buy from Montsano. So more and more of our food is controlled by one company, that's .
  9. I suppose it helps that Rasmus is 15 lbs heavier too.
  10. Like Armia.
  11. Wasn't there talk of him going further up like 3-5 pre-draft?
  12. I think you're over-estimating the acceptance of that word, although the massive distaste for it might intersect with the people that will never vote for a Democrat anyway so it might not be an issue.
  13. The second paragraph hits it on the head. Free streaming means TV providers have less incentive to carry the channels.
  14. He's like that, but shouldn't cast stones.
  15. That's essentially the Howard Dean playbook, until the media drilled that unfortunate video clip into our heads for a week between primaries.
  16. I don't think the US in general is ready to elect someone who will undoubtedly be labelled "Socailist" and "Communist". Socailist isn't without cause, but socialist doesn't have to be the bad word people think it is. And I like Sanders, a lot of his views line up with mine. With the current field of Republicans, I'd say he has a shot because they're for the most part way out there, but I'm not sure I risk the election when a "safer" Democrat would be more likely to win. In hockey terms, do you put your good line out against their OK line because they should do well, or do you put your great line out with the expectation that they'll score?
  17. Sacre bleu! Will we have to start labelling everything in French, too?
  18. Cold lowers the body's resistance to getting sick, I think, but doesn't matter unless you're exposed to something while you're cold. Rain makes you colder at a given air temperature than not since water drains heat away better than air.
  19. Arizona is last year's Sabres, they went fire-sale at the trade deadline and are stockpiling picks. Buffalo and Edmonton are on the next stage, having collected the Tank badge.
  20. I thought it was a watchme of toddlers.
  21. Ugh, Howl is the better of the first two but the Devils pinched that one. I don't really get Yeah Yeah Yeah as a goal song, but it's not terrible. Maybe they'll re-write it "Hear us shout, the Sabres score again!" and SDS can feel safe in his masculinity. :)
  22. I'm just working off this post. I'm not sure if that was a temporary thing for a day or if Bylsma uses ?-Larssssssson-Reinhart going forward. Looking at those names, Girgensons is missing, but I'd think you shift Foligno over to 4LW, maybe Larsson over to 3LW, Girgensons as 3C, Reinhart as 3RW, and Legwand to 4C. I think 4RW is still open with those moves, but whatever. To clarify, keep the top-6, then: Larsson - Girgensons - Reinhart Foligno - Legwand - ? (or if Foligno is skating RW, Deslauriers - Legwand - Foligno). Out of those lines, Ellis, Shaller, Akeson, and Rodrigues are out, which doesn't seem unlikely. Or maybe one stays to play 4RW and Foligno and Deslauries duke it out at 4LW. It's a nice problem to have.
  23. 2nd or 3rd line RW, perhaps, with Gionta taking the other spot? From the line-up above, it appears the Reinhart is skating on Larsssssson's RW today.
  24. I just think it's a good song and fits the requirements of a goal song: catchy, non-offensive, and can be sung. I don't understand why you think "10000 men" won't sing it. is it the weird gay angle that's been talked about here? I can't figure out how that line of thought got started. That would be cool, although I'm not sure you'd get enough people to buy into it as an upbeat, 30-second clip.
  25. People seem to miss this point. This isn't "the best song in the world" or something I want to listen to in my car, it's "what song will get the crowd singing" and make the other team sad. Yelling "hoo rah hoo rah hoo rah yeah!" at the top of my lungs is a winner.
