  1. (Seriously, listen to lyrics of "Come on Eileen" and "Don't You Want Me" and feel a little icky)
  2. And when the techs find trace evidence of maple syrup that only comes from a very rare maple tree, one of which is on Kane's property and has a tap, we're into Bones or CSI: Miami territory. Dude, it really did read like you were questioning whether she went to the hospital. Accept that you didn't express yourself well. The only other explanation is that you're holding the somewhat naive view that once the rape kit was in possession of the "the authorities", nothing strange could possibly happen to it. Evidence disappears or is tampered with from time to time, and it wouldn't be impossible that some idiot either connected to the Kane camp or trying to protect a "hero" hockey player messed with it.
  3. Heh, a band I was in used to cover that song, including a time at a talent show where our new lead singer decided to do it death metal style. Not cool. I like Swords, although folks are right that the alternates versions are probably better for this use. I suggested awhile back that "The Heavy - How you like me now?" would make a really solid choice, but I never bothered to suggest it to anyone in power. Catchy song that people *may* sing along too, as well as the Sabres saying "how you like me now?" to the fans and the league that despised them the last two years. Cut it up with the lead in and skip to 0:43 for just the chorus or something.
  4. I'm surprised Swords of a Thousand Men is up there, that's awesome. I haven't listened through the playlist yet, but I hope they use this cover instead of the original:
  5. I've read that if you do something for 3 weeks, it becomes a habit. I only worked out regularly a few times in my life, and only for a month or two at a time. Otherwise, I'm lazy. I did walk for half an hour this morning, which I suppose is something.
  6. That's interesting, as to me (a total non-collector), having a hand-signed card is way cooler. I'd wonder if that shifts with people taking pictures or selfies with the player and the card.
  7. You'd think she'd have learned better from Bush. <sarcasm>At least we're 100% certain that none of the 5 million emails deleted contained any sensitive information.</sarcasm> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bush_White_House_email_controversy
  8. I probably wouldn't have if Pie didn't roughly translate to Pirog (as in pierogi), since pierogi are AWESOME.
  9. He seems like a pretty cool guy, on the pope-cool scale. I tend to agree with more of his positions on the poor and whatnot than the previous guy. I know it's not getting much play outside Philly but people here are flipping out, both for the pope and in anger about the inconveniences that his visit is causing.
  10. No kidding, that's pretty impressive. That being said, I'd love to see it on a bigger field with more riders.
  11. My neighbor during the Iggles game at one point yesterday (I was out in my yard, he was in is house with the windows open): Expletive Expletive Sam Bradford Expletive Expletive Bradford Sucks, Bradford sucks, Expletive, Expletive, you're a Expletive Bradford, Expletive, I want Foles back, I want Foles back, Expletive Expletive Bradford.
  12. It'd also preclude horses from being judged by anyone other than other horses.
  13. Eklund, the Brad Marchand of human beings.
  14. Jared Fogel, the Bard Marchand of fast-food spokespeople. (too much?)
  15. Other than the tiles on the start menu (which you can get rid of), it looks like 7 to me. Fairly normal start menu, most of the apps use windows and aren't full screen, etc. Granted, it's on my wife's computer so I haven't used to too much other than installing software and some very light web browsing (which I normally use Firefox of Chrome for anyway). The new browser, Edge, looks pretty trim and nice but I haven't tried to too many places. It's a shame MS doesn't/can't do it the "Linux" way and provide LiveCD/USB or trial VMs to play with, but they're not big on try before you buy in any case.
  16. I guess you haven't actually seen 10, then. Windows 10 is far more like 7 than 8. If MS wasn't so slimy with the privacy stuff, I'd have no problem recommending it. As it is, if you disable the most egregious privacy issues Windows 10 is on-par with 7 IMHO, and both of which are a little ahead of XP. Windows is like Star Trek movies, every other one is good. XP, 7, and 10 will be the ones people gravitate to, Vista and the 8s will be footnotes.
  17. Gretzky is the macadamia, you ignorant swine.
  18. A pager. http://www.staffannouncer.com/milt/audio/drcichon.WMA
  19. Before we go down the rabbit hole on this one, it's IMPOSSIBLE that a lawyer said to Kane, "Hey, when you get asked about the case, just say "I'm confident that I did nothing wrong" or "I will be absolved in this case", OK?" and Kane mashed it up the wrong way.
  20. So this is a comment on the ESPN article on the Grabner trade: I'm confused, "Snow does it again." can be used in a positive manner?
  21. Complaint: the poster here named Huckleberry I constantly mis-read as Huckabee, and instantly discount his opinion. :)
  22. 25. Cambot, the Matt Ellis of MST3k robots.
  23. January 14th, 2020 is the end of normal support for Windows 7. After that, you'd have to pay MS a ton of money to keep the security patches flowing.
  24. Plain greek yogurt with maple syrup added is the bomb.
